Yeah. They said because Sunway is ethical so they wanted the student to do 9 papers. Not sure about the other college though..

Anyone got 2012 kit for P5 & P7???

Pls help..

I can't seem to find anything on the transition of CAT to ACCA with just 7 papers in the website.

Ethics is a very important part of accounting. I just can't imagine what will happen in your working life if you are already taking corners during your tertiery education.

What my lecturer said was ACCA confirmed that it's okay to have only 7 papers. But our college wanted 9 hmmm...

this is what i gathered
"the main change between FIA and CAT is , formerly you need to complete all 9 papers of CAT to start from part 2 of acca. But now under FIA you need to complete only 7 papers to Start part 2 . and all the 7 papers can be given by compuuter based exam. But previously only 4 papers were available for CB. After completing 7 papers you are getting a diploma cerificate. but formerly this was not available. but to get a CAT certificate you still have to complete all the 9 papers."

Hi, anyone kindly to help me with how to study F8? I feel helpless and desperate after failed it with 45 marks. I have no idea how to pass it. Anyone kindly to share?

Ahh ! Now i get it. I'm actually doing FiA. Means i actually can move on to ACCA part 2 since i have alrdy completed 7 no?

I believe t5-t7 are diploma papers? If u passed all diploma papers then yes u can advance to ACCA already, unless u want a CAT cert.

Oh Thank you ! Finally got my answers. Do you know any other colleges that require a CAT cert besides Sunway?

Hi y'all. Im taking f5,7,8 papers this June 2012 sitting. I wanna get the early bird discount payment. Problem is, I can't seem to pay through myACCA! They keep saying "payment unsuccessful - please try again."!!!

I registered for my previous papers through myACCA too. But I don't know why I have problems this time round. And the closing date is on the 8th! Help!

Might be a glitch. Happens all the time, whenever I want to pay my membership dues or register for my exams.

u might wan to try again...coz now the only method is to pay via myacca..
try to log in at day time..

my suggestion it might be a glitch. just try using another credit card. some credit card doesn't work.

u can enter sunway for acca wif ur diploma...
not necessary must wif cat cert

Sunway doesnt allow that. Many students tried.

call up ur bank

mayb need to re-enable payment to overseas/online

last time i also kena dis problem.. called my bank and told them whats wrong and then they fix la.

used maybank visa debit but always fail. found out that must call customer service tell them to enable oversea payment.

dont freak out. juz call your bank.

apparently I found out smtg

I went to MyACCA and check on exam result and status

then I clicked on this "print a certificate"

and I found out that I can print Adv Diploma in Accounting and Business

Actually, I fail my F8 too, 43 marks.....
I think I know why I fail... I can't understand questions well
List/Explain/describe...
Briefly explain/describe... (how brief is that)

Now I refer to Open Tuition notes and tips for exams...
It is better keep the answer simple and clean, let the examiner can see the answer at the first time he or she look at it.

and, I feel that to list and explain the audit procedures for test of control and substantive test, this part is very very very very difficult for me.

If still cannot,
(1) Try others credit card
(2) Call your bank
(3) Call ACCA hotline (they may give you a bit explanation or guidance)
