if it is a third class degree, better don't do since you are not going to impress your interviewer

QUOTE(starz92 @ Sep 13 2011, 09:57 PM) Hi all, i need some advice here regarding F4(MY variant). 1) you keep on revise the past year questions before your exam, i bet you can write those sections number out during your exam.1) Do we need to memorise all the sections numbers/ article number in an act or law to answer for exam? 2) How about the law name itself? As in Employment Law 1955, Contract Act 1950 etc. The reason i am asking this is because my lecturer keep stressing us to memorise the sections numbers to provide it during your answer's explanation. But i just realised from one of my friend who passed F4 last sem that he didn't quote any section numbers in his answer and that the numbers is not so important as stressed by my lecturer. thanks in advance 2) yes, you have state which act are you referring to when you quote those sections afterall, if you are not aiming for Malaysia/World prize, you need not memorise all those sections, name of the court case etc This post has been edited by nothingz: Sep 14 2011, 09:48 AM |

QUOTE(starz92 @ Sep 14 2011, 03:29 PM) As i heard, OBU degree is not recognised by our MQA. Only a few employer recognise OBU as a degree. you have to at least understand those theories and the logic of it so that it is easier for you to write it out during exam. it is impossible that you can memorise the whole syllabus and write it out during exam. somemore few questions are case study, you need to apply it into the case too. Past year questions are no doubt the best for revision purpose, you should write your answers that way in examI heard from earnst and young that they would hire a student with OBU only on the condition they have to continue to finish their acca. So,OBU by itself is pretty much useless if you completed your ACCA. However, if you failed to complete your ACCA, then maybe with a OBU degree it might be useful( at least you have a degree). Added on September 14, 2011, 3:35 pm my lecturer asked me to straight away study from past year questions if i wanted to do revision on my f4.Is it recommended? |

there is a 'status report' function in MyACCA, you can just screen shot that page then delete the marks column. then your interviewer cannot see your marks. of course you still need to attach your exam results slips but at least it is not so obvious

QUOTE(tzxsean @ Sep 15 2011, 11:11 AM) my fren's going for EY interview again Even my friend who went for KPMG interview, they asked for the same thing too. Big 4 are more particular in terms of marks you obtained. I don't think that those commercial employers are interested in your marks as long as you passedlast time she was with me for internship now she's applying for permanent staff position and she told me that EY ppl asked me to include the results |

June and December sitting are the same. next year june will be based on new 2012 budget. a friendly reminder to you, better pass your tax paper fast, if otherwise later may have to study the upcoming GST too. hahahaI'm self studying, and scared if there will be changes to the subject ie: budget revision, etc... Thanks |

QUOTE(cool_alias @ Sep 19 2011, 09:29 AM) I see. Acca has 3 variant papers right 1 law & 2 tax papers. I wonder if if lets say i plan on working in UK in future, should i take them in UK variant? yes, you can but difficult for you to find any guidance here since we don't really know bout the UK Tax and their law is slightly different from Malaysia |

some degree holders may find ACCA Professional Level quite difficult compared to what they studied at degree level and the exam style are different

QUOTE(starz92 @ Nov 11 2011, 12:12 PM) no tips for F4 since everything inside the syllabus may come out, each part may consist of 10 marks or less. there's no chance for you to spot. the only thing you can do is look at the trend, such as last round court hierarchy, federal constitution came out, then this time it may not come out again. |
