malaysia just full of joke everyday...

who decide on which supplier to use? proton right

True.

As for his awesome remark, judging by the way he said it, he has no control over the supplier. He was 'forced by certain parties' to use them or none at all.

Why do they take the Renault factor into their problems? Some hardcore Proton owners do know which Proton is good and which is not. The old Saga was the workforce. The Wira 1.8 and Satria Gti was the tour de force. While the rest was problems here and there. You should ask yourself, does Proton sells more Savvy and Waja 1.8 combined to the sales of Gen 2? What about the even worst Juara that literally falls apart from the body mouldings? And thats from Mitsubishi!!!!! And the Juara doesn't even have any of the Townbox body mouldings!! On that alone the plastic parts is definitely local supplier. So if it was that bad, they still use them! Why? Stupid right?

i gosok gigi pun need 3minit and need chek ow. u pasang car just use below 100s noo neeeed check lagi tu. then just put the blame on suppliers if some error appears hm memang boleh tahan orang proton ni.

Actually I think he is making a remark on the cronyism of the company. He has no choice as there are people more powerful than him that has more influence on decision making. If he goes against them, its bye-bye to him. 2 sen only.

QUOTE(KarchKiraly @ Jun 27 2011, 01:31 PM)
I pity him actually since his hands are tied... can't really kick out crony suppliers.

QUOTE(KarchKiraly @ Jun 27 2011, 01:39 PM)
No, I don't think so... He inherit the problems from Tg Mahalel and manage to turn the company around. The only thing is, he doesn't have full control over the umnoputra suppliers. Also, during Tg Mahalel's time, the management is a bit cocky... put any rubbish cars on the market, people will still buy and Proton will still make money. That's why you're seeing 3 types of cars which the market doesn't really want: Gen2 (a car that wants to be everything), Savvy (a small hatchback) and Satria Neo (another hatchback). What they should have released in the market are: Persona (good family sedan), Saga (cheap point a to point b sedan) and Exora (MPV market is huge).

there2...i quote reasoning for both pro and con.

another QFT, and also agree on Tengku Mahaleel's attitude.

he was the guy that say "malaysian don't want MPV/van-type vehicle" and instead produced that horror on wheels called Juara.

Tengk Mahaleel keep on emphasising on speed and power and sports etc. He even hired his son Tengku Djan Ley to lead the R3 group.....

to syed zainal's credit he did not fire tengku djan when his father's contract was not extended....

Syed Zainal, even if he is a crony, is the good kind of crony. a least he tried to fix up things and took customer feedback seriously.

that's why persona was miles better than Gen2, and I believe persona was the car gen 2 should have been in the 1st place....

Saga is now the no. 1 selling car in malaysia again (ok, it's no. 1 because people were waiting for new Myvi but still...)

i think tengku djan shows result, so its better that he stayed.
look how ludicrously profitable R3 is. drool.gif

all cars in my house, most basic also MyVi SE, so far no prob even though it is locally assembled. Never buy proton, long term usage of all my family members' car proved that.

At very least, other brand window wont malfunction like cronies' supported brand after 6 years min. Let alone saying other parts.

true2...maybe if the deal with VW came thru, the supplier quality sure increase extremely.
why perodua best? bcoz the majority shareholders is Toyota, pls dun forget this peeps.

once again, proton shudnt be blame.their hands are tied to chose the low class crony vendors bcoz their majority shareholders is govt.

Wei...betul ke dia cakap macam tu??? takkan lah kot....setahu aku he is an intelligent man and masa kat perodua dulu strict giler dgn kualiti...
salah faham kot?

mana ada kompeni tak buat kualiti check mesti punya ada

maybe not every item checked on delivery kot..

supplier pun ada QC a few layers...sampai assembly plant selalu random check lah...

aku rasa bab kualiti ni mmg Proton dah banyak improve sejak syed zainal masuk tapi tak lah sume masalah lenyap...

jangan blasah teruk sangat cos aku rase dia dah do a lot of good work improving quality..ni mesti bab salah lapor atau tersilap cakap
*
kita semua faham...his hands are tied.have to accept bad parts from crony vendors sweat.gif
yeah, syed zainal is great.his works showed it. i hope he never be replaced
