hello guys , my family just receive a new family member yesterday.


im plannin on making the disc brake caliper into red colour brembo type , can we just apply a cover on top of it?
is there any chance that the cover will fall off when driving? gettin bashed lol

and about quad exhaust advice , im just plannin to install additional fake two mufflers on the right hand side looking identicle as the original unit , is it required drilling and some modding on the rear bumper?

how much will they cost around?

agreed, u r embarrassing yourself with fake mods, and it makes u look like a cheapo, much like those wira with ah beng exhaust. if u want to mod, do it properly with proper (real) mods like ECU upgrading and full set exhaust systems, which are expensive but at least you and your car won't disgust ppl, or else, just keep the car stock

i do not expect to change the whole muffler system just for the quad pipes.

no offense. If you can afford to buy RCZ, why not save some money to do some real performance mod?

I have no objection for spray painted your brake caliper if that make your car looks better. Like the red caliper on black car. But if your caliper is not brembo don't put the word brembo on it.

About exhaust, please don't do it. RCZ is a very nice car, don't put anythings fake on it. Go to exhaust shop any do the real things it shouldn't cost too much. But make sure it didn't void the warranty.

I think it's still too early to think about modding and stuff. Drive your car a bit. Take your time to plan and budget. Get to know how your car runs and drives.

You have a nice car. So don't ruin the entire experience with some ill thought out mods.

And TS, Ah beng cars aren't even near your league. No need to bring it down to their level.

Actually they do supply the OEM exhaust to our car manufacturers. Thats where the money is.

For me I would go for the real deal of original aftermarket performance stuff like exhaust system, bodykit and others.

Having fake stuff is really embarrassing I've to say.

dont mod anything yet, save for future maintainance . PUGS need special care...

BTW how's your fuel consumption? yours is THP 200 or THP156?

i think they do, they really do. they just don't want you to massacre a nice new rcz. it is not really worth it. some cars should just be left clean as they are. most you can go is to import the full feline exhaust system that gives you 4 pipes that are fully functional so you don't look like a dolt with one pipe darkened with soot and the other gleaming in chrome after a few weeks of use. you may also want to use stickers that the feline version has. go to any reputable sticker shop to get it done. u can try motorsports playground in sunway.

if your car is the dark grey unit, you can also darken your rims. just go to do the spray at a reputable paint shop and make sure it is good quality. see the link for how a dark grey car can look with gun metal/black rims.

Why not change to real performance exhaust system when they come out?

Adding cool looking fake exhaust is alright but it adds additional weight on it. Also drilling means permanent work on the body.

IMO.

Changing exhaust will only void your exhaust warranty (never heard of exhaust warranty claims). Doing fake pipes if not done well won't look like the original & like someone said the color may be different.

Changing brake caliper cover may also void your brake warranties.

You should re-tint the rear mirror so it looks like what it's originally intended to look like.

The best & cheaper way to mod the outlook is to do custom decals.

If you planning to mod the interiors into luxury cabin go to kinokuniya japanese car magazine section there you can find many ideas.

Remapping ECU should not void your warranty, under normal situation factories won't read the ECU.

Like what people say, driving a continental car is not easy and you really need a lot of passion in continental cars. Take a really good care, give her original aftermarket stuff instead of fake quad tip exhaust which looks hilarious.

I believe most people here are not butthurt on your new ride, and some people do envy you get to drive this car. It's just people think that driving such car with junk modification is really embarrassing. Many of them were trying to help you out, stopping you from adding rubbish accessories on your precious ride.

Anyway, money is yours and you may go for it, whatever like quad exhaust tip or maybe a GT wing.

Maybe you should blame your own for posting in the wrong place.

the calipers can be painted. no need to put fake brembo caliper covers.

if you want to put 8 exhaust tips also can, go to any exhaust shop and they will help you.

Check your car manual, if it says Ron96 min, then do like me and blend it. Ron97 is insane price now.

As for mods, do bodykit, maybe some customised spoiler, aftermarket sports rim. That's about it without voiding the warranty (you migth wanna double check on the rim as well).

May we know TS got the Turbo or non Turbo version?

Out of curiousity, why are you looking for a seat cover when the car comes with gorgrous Nappa leather?

they're BOTH turbo. only difference is auto 156bhp or manual 200bhp. TS's dad got the auto 156bhp. there is no non-turbo version sold in malaysia.

Remapped will get your warranty void. But with plug & play type, it wont leave a trace so the warranty will still remains. Don't tell that too early, you will never know when you'll need the power. Especially when you kena cucuk by someone when you're not in a good mood.

I know one Z33 owner don't push his car, but then i was smoked by him once when tailing him back to his kawasan for teh tarik.

Best to also get to know the people at the service center well. I have had cases where suspension warranty was not given due to the reason of me changing my rims before. So please ensure that you don't void your warranty unless you really don't care about it.

Don't worry about it. You get leather seats meant to enjoy it. Not to just buy a cover and seat on them. Just make sure that you send your car in for regular interior cleaning so it shouldn't be an issue.

Dont worry. Just use some leather conditioner/cleaner etc. Grab some meguire product wont go wrong.

@TS,don't bother with all the non functional mod
To increase power,look into ECU Remap
You can a piggyback or a ECU Flash
Couple that with exhaust should give healthy gain as it's a turbo car afterall
For reference,Mini Copper S R56 which used the same engine with exhaust/ecu map/intercooler diverter plate can make some 200whp or so
For warranty issue when you need to claim it,just return the car back to stock and send in for warranty
But well with a better relationship you might be able to get away with mod
And yours is a manual or automatic unit??

What is the reason if we bought a car and just keep it in our garage? treat it like a baby? They suppose to serve us on the road or even provide us shelter. Like what jwrx said, since its ur dad car, just keep it as stock instead of trying to trash it with el cheapo mods. Mod something that is more subtle such as cold air intake, full exhaust system instead of a fake ah beng muffle tips. Since your dad could afford an rcz, i see no reason that there is any problem for your dad to afford premium modifications.

Peugeot technican reply on the technical part of installation
Basically you remove the lower diffuser section (the black plastic part where the reverse and fog lamp unit is mounted). This is fixed with 3 torx bolts underneath and is clipped around the top. Remove the torx bolts to gain access to the standard trim bracket. Once the standard trim and mount has been removed (this does require the plastic welds on the bracket to be cut or broken) the rest of the diffuser will just need a sharpe pull and it should unclip, remember to disconnect the wiring to the light unit before pulling the diffuser too hard.

It shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to remove the diffuser once you have got over the shock of having to pull your pride and joy apart......

If want to add dummy i also not recommended....As conti car very hard, the tips design is impossible to find the maching one...

p/s : RCZ i also got test drove a short trip after 3008 and driving pleasure is superb, love the handling and corner...But the let down part is overpriced if u ask me...Might be some Peugeot strategy on behind..
