how to play 3d movie and snap picture for u to c ? u will only c double layer graphic.

cannot la only wear the spec can see...the effect ..else u see double line

Sam, the glasses's battery need to change? cannot recharge ah?

that time of battery like car remote battery not that i know can recharge but i know can get in samsung store

i believe there is some rechargeable battery same as the type we use in this glasses outside market . but not sure where can we get it. will try and ask

hey guys.. just got back my RMA-d s23a950d.. i dunno why i cant get the monitor to run at 120hz and weird thing is the nvidia ctrl panel shows my connector is hdmi eventhou i used the dual-link dvi given in the box.. btw, my gc is nvidia 550ti.. below is the screenshot

yea.. i used DVI cable but nvidia showed me that the connector is HDMI.. btw, yday send to samsung service centre directly instead of ALL IT diz time.. hopefully everything will be ok.. 2nd time RMA =/

Today bought this monitor, the 3d is great....

Just got my Samsung 27" LED. Just tested with my PC.

i tried playing 3D games like Crysis 2 .. it is awesome ..
Everthing has great depth to it..

Most of the game games you need to use Tridef in order to convert it into 3D. I tried playing with NFS Hot Pursuit and Dead space 2 but the FPS drop significantly around 20fps. i guess TRIDEF sucks up my GPU and my Quadcore CPU.

Ironically there is no dropped of FPS sign when playing games in 3D like Medal of honor, bulletstorm, and CRYSIS 2 especially. (smooth as silk). Crysis developer did a great job in 3D department without sacrificing the performance.

So my conclusion is different games' performance may perform differently in TRIDEF 3D.


For 3D movies , i tested a bluray mkv (SBS) Resident Evil : After life. The 3D depth effect is great, compare to cinema i watched.

i have yet try the Avatar 3D,, bet it's gonna look more INSANE..

No need to use tridef to play games. It wil reduce fps. Just before opening games. Convert the 2d to 3d. On monitor. Then switch on the 3d glasses. You will see it will connect to the monitor. After that open the games. All games in 3d now.

I tried using the 2D to 3D conversion mode thing. The 3D effect is not as good as Tridef ..

Ya i agree it will reduce fps.. Not all games are affected . just some only. That's my only disappointment..

I haven't tested with PS3 yet... wait for my short reviews.

Edit : For 3D movies, this Samsung monitor is gonna be a worth investment for u movie freaks out there. No regret

You means all movie can convert to 3D or need to buy 3D movies?.

No need by 3D movies. Everything can be converted into 3D, even your desktop
