Hi guys,

I dunno if this is the right place to ask, but i've read all the poslaju/skynet/kangaroo/etc threads and they all say they have crappy service and watsoever.

So now, I'm doing running a small business and my items are usually quite light, but requires a huge box since the packaging is big. I;ve been using Poslaju for the past few months, as the prices are relatively cheap, however now they are charging everything by volumetric weight since the content of my box is lighter than the "box weight" and thus making postage really expensive now.

So, the question is, is there any courier service that I can use, to maintain the low price, or do they all now go by volumetric charges for my case? If so, which courier service has the lowest price? I see this as quite a big prob for me, since the postage is freking expensive, while my items are cheaper than the postage itself sad.gif

Any help or advise guys? Please dont tell me to close shop sweat.gif

U can try Pos Daftar. Its cheaper but take 3 to 4 days or more to arrive your customer.

Is it possible to get a smaller box?

They will normally charge volumetric if the box is more than 30cm and the weight lower than volumetric weight.

Handling should be the same with poslaju but it takes longer time... Pos daftar require signature by receiver too..

Try to avoid that Kangaroo s**t courier. Can't guarantee to be fast enough and their Customer Service are so unreliable. Wasted my phone bills trying to track my shipment the last time.

if you're posting to kedah in urgency, avoid kangaroo. they "sleep" full day on friday, and only open half day on saturday. means if you post something on thursday, your receipient will only get his parcel on sunday. even that is not a guarantee (might even end up on monday). at least using poslaju, you can self collect on friday.

For Kedah Perlis Terengganu N.Sembilan those state we use Citylink
For Penang KL Perak Johor Melaka those state Kangaroo have great service

Overall PosLaju is the most high risk but they have widest network on Malayisia, for outskirt area we only use PosLaju

I have received items using pos daftar twice. Both came in top knot condition. Maybe i'm just lucky. But the thing is pos daftar doesn't update the tracking system grumble.gif

since u are doing business, better for you to go open an account with courier company (citylink, skynet etc) more cheaper then usual charges.
