does "game saves" means I can install games on it, or just my games progression?

i want to install games so that my dvd drive wont work so hard...

yes, you can install games on it given you have enough space.

nice... so i guess 16Gb should be enough for a game or two...

if you have portable hdd, you can use that too, just create a new partition 20gb, fat32 format.
in my experience its faster to install into portable hdd compare to usb thumb drive.

Yes. It was a compromise, users wanted to be able to easily and cheaply upgrade storage for save games, but MS still wanted some control, so for people who needed extra large storage for media and stuff, MS is still the only place to get extra large storage.

but there is a way around it if you have a desktop pc you can turn some notebook hdd into a hdd that
compatible with x360. doing so might get you banned from xbox live but so far haven't heard of it

I have a 4GB flash drive that I use on occasion to save certain games. It works wonders. Never tried saving a game to a flash drive though.

wow.. quite a long one... i guess i'll stick with the 16Gb flash drive for now...
and utilise the Windows media center for media (if i ever need it)

Arent USB speed been bottleneck? I mean if you install game on it, it still run slower than internal HDD right?

my bet would be the transfer rate... if the internal harddisk can support higher Mb/s than a flash memory, then for sure it can perform faster...
