I'm a super duper noobist in photography & camera... My previous camera was a P&S... currently searching for a new camera and had my eye on C3 & N5... The new camera will be use for family, event, travelling and sometime in low light area... I've read the basics of photography using dslr... and have an idea how the dslr operates... and interested to learn through the new camera... btw... I'm not into serious photography...
I could fork out a budget for a twin lens NEX-5N but feel like some of the features I might not using... so currently in dilemma whether to get NEX-C3 / NEX-5N...
my dilemma is:
1) is there any different for the image quality between both?
2) is the highest ISO in C3 enough for low light photography?
3)how about the built-in filter/effect like toy camera and etc... is it the same as 5N (I know you can photoshop to have the same effect)?
4)price different between C3 & 5N for twin lens is +/- RM300... I can afford to buy 5N but is 5N features is too much for a noob like me?
please help... tq
IMHO, if you're gonna stick with that one first cam long, get the 5N, better upgradeability (EVF etc), speed of use (more dedicated buttons vs menus) and also the 5N has full HD video if that means anything to you. Other than that, the C3 is generally ok, just a bit slow to use due to most options being buried in menus (even the toy cam filters) and having less quality video.
