sorry, ya, left out my location... was telling myself to mention in my earlier post and still forgot...

anyway, my location -- kl/ pj. anyway, seems klcc has got units... though its a bit far, but i guessits still the only place for now... probably just take LRT. can i assume this is one of the shops near the LRT entrance at KLCC? but never mind... can just ask the info counter. smile.gif
*
don't worry abt it sometimes it happens. research had shown that prolonged usage of mobile phones lead to short term memory loss. smile.gif
something abt the way we hold the phone near the position of the brain where we store short-term memory.

anyway, it's maxis klcc and not just any outlet. if u take lrt, go up escalator one floor and turn left.
there is a small signboard to indicate the entrance.
cheers and have fun! icon_rolleyes.gif

is this phone tooo big to fit into jeans - i mean it will not snap or buldge out smile.gif
*
depends on what type of jeans u r wearing.
since it is quite thin, carrot cut, classic cut and boot cut shld be ok.

btw, is this phone stable cos it is quite new - as in 1st batch in m'sia

hmm...thinking of galaxy SL instead
*
it's got a few issues highlighted if u took the effort to read up the thread. rolleyes.gif

1) overheating due to thin plastic back cover - unsolvable. design problem.
2) yellow tinge at the bottom left - unsolvable. depends on luck.
3) pink spot during picture taking - camera firmware issues? to be determined.

4) speaker malfunction - isolated. 2 cases.

The overheating not a big issue right? I did notice mine was also 'warm' even on the surface after 15 minutes of gaming sessions - Stupid Zombies. (only realised when answering a call).

But then, within 5 minutes after, its cool down again.
*
from what i've understand and tried, it does get pretty hot after prolong usage of games and talking.
of course, it won't scald ur hands but not exactly comfortable either.

and on't think that by using a leather/plastic casing to protect ur hands will help.
instead it may become worse.

there might be a possibility that the extreme heat build up will be trapped by the casing.
at worse this will cause distortion of the thin plastic back cover.
perhaps the processor speed will drop in order to reduce the heat.

originally, samseng set the speed of the processor at 1 GHz but bcos of marketing reason they decided to overclock to 1.2 Ghz.
that may be the reason of extreme heat.

hopefully samseng's design team also considered the heat buildup after overclocking.

it's just like implanting a 2.4l engine into proton wira without improving the brakes system.

anyone tried putting their face into their PC's LCD monitor after the monitor's been running for 1hr?

how abt the same thing on LCD TV?

basically, heat from screen is sth on smart phones... not so obvious on smaller display phones since the display is smaller... and they generate less heat.

but here's sth to think about... glass can dissipate heat quite well... but when we put a SP over it... does is slow down the heat dissipation? smile.gif
icon_question.gif
hope u r not saying the great Samoled+ screen actually generate heats?

and secondly, u have given wrong analogy.
many ppl still do not use handsfree when making phone calls.

and thirdly,
the heat is from the overclocked proc by samseng. suppose the thin casing is able to dissipate the heat quick to avoid processor meltdown.
but heat is transferred to the human hand lor.

it is not overheating..overheating mean is the cooling the hardware problem..it just the phone thin thats why it feels hot..by the way, i feel warm when gaming..not hot..only prolong usage of GPS you will feel hot..
*
yes, after prolonged usage of gps on the iphone also got overheating.
but during normal use like gaming also no overheating.

perhaps samseng overclock the processor but their design team lazy to consider for the additional heat?

heat buildup is fast if you use phone long on gaming, gps and as a WiFi hotspot. same as my other androids
normal usage is ok. if anyone concerned about its thinness and heat get the bulkier phone many choices available. the sgs II is not a perfect phone. there is none in android.
there is only one and is Steve job iPhone quoting him " the best smartphone in the WORLD" so if you are looking for one get iPhone4 and be slave to Steve jobs
*
so for time being perhaps users must sit next to a fan or air con when expecting prolonged usage with sgs2.
and using iphone4 is not being a 'slave' to any one.
more like steve jobs is our slave.

we are enjoying the inventions of his innovative mind.
since u've been a geek all ur life, surely u know that apple's leader position in the world now was achieved after years of failure and almost bankruptcy.

steve had learnt to give what users expect in a tech product and it was blockbuster after blockbuster after iPod.

i'm sure u remember the days of palm/pocketpc, handspring, kvpug, etc.
touch phones were nerds domain.

but after apple launched the legendary iphone, touch screen phones had hit the mainstream.
and of course every successful product will have its legion of copycats.

Well I better stay away from it.
I'm thinking to get this phone too. Currently cannot decide between this and Sensation. And I'm getting it for my gf, quite concern about the big size as well.
*
better ask and understand what ur gf actually wants. just buying the hottest product (sales and also literally rclxs0.gif ) is quite risky.
usually big size phones doesn't look appropriate for ladies, unless she's a geek or a nerd like my ex-staff.

iphone 4 wld be perfect for most girls.

Unlike some others,  I have never been impressed with the iphones, having used the first 2g till iphone 4. They just don't meet my needs. And Steve Jobs is getting to behave like a devil always thinking he is the best and any others are second grades. The iphone 4 I used only less than a month - at least the earlier series 3-6 months. I always believe in being fair and I do not just listen/read - I spend money to buy it to test and see for myself how " great" it is. So it is just too bad , iOS does not impress me but that DOESN't make it inferior to others. But I do believe with iOS5 ( which comes in too late ) , the iPhone series is waking up to its competition

I respect other user's decisions on their choice of smartphones, whether is Windows, Symbian , Android or iOS.

We are just mere consumers and I believe most of us are not even stock holders in Apple or Google - so one should not go overboard declaring superiority of one platform. The platform that meets your needs that is one best choice. One has no right to tell another off just because he thinks differently and has a different perception of value. Those who think they are smarter than others are actually not. I know this very well , seeing so many of such  types of personalities in my 40 years of work. Such people in my organization will never move up

The money is mine, I choose to spend on what I deem best for me - it might not be the best in the world. Why condemn one phone /one platform over another unless one gets pleasure out of it ?? What is the purpose - I find it just plain stupidity when passion overcome sense in comparison discussions. Doing comparisons is fine but not to point of condemnation of the product and worse its users - such only just shows immaturity. Along same lines, I have always being asked why I just drive a small car when I can easily even afford to drive a BM or a  Merc  - simply , that is not my needs. My choice of cars maybe make me look foolish ?? No , the person who so judge me is stupid and foolish.  My needs is more on a big comfortable house,  which is more important than a nice flashy car.

i'm glad to know we think almost the same.
clearly u r android fan due to its advantages and despite its weakness.
u take the time, effort and money to pursue this nerdy hobby of yours.

i am a businessman in the mobile telecommunications business and my interest in android, iphone is purely based on a normal user POV.

think other less matured ppl take my comments as attacks on their holy android.
but i only seek the truth and do the right.

Guys, do you think the squeegee card is important to remove bubbles when screen protector is applied? I'm thinking of buying SGP ultra capsule and it has a free ultra crystal screen protector, but no microfiber cloth and squeegee sad.gif

Is the squeegee really necessary or can any card be used?

u can use credit card also.
