i said it coz u cant blame the system for having too much condensed water, coz the understanding of air-conditioning is evaporator will create condensed water when it works..the amt of water is base on the humidity of the air that passes though it...and of course, if the humidity level is higher, then u get more water...and same goes if the evaporator is bigger in size, or capacity is higher, then in the same level of humidity, the amt of water condensed will be higher than a lower capacity air-cond...

on the humidity, u can try to put several wet towels in your car and let the aircond runs...u will see the amt of water discharged at the bottom of your car will be alot more than w/out the wet towels in the same car at the same day...

the seat belt rattling oso happened to me, but i did it on purpose...while driving, i use my left hand to push the seat lock ard (while no one sits at passenger), and at some point it rattles with the center arm console....

dont get me wrong, i think i post many good reviews of K5 here, and to be honest, im still a proud owner of a K5 white... I am not a Kia SA, or works with Kia watsoever
having said that, i reserve some bad comments to myself, coz i know im paying less (in m'sia), i cant expect too much from it...such as turbo like engine torque/power...exceptional comfy ride like in teana when K5 is using low profile tyre-45 and 18" wheel with sports tuning suspension...try asking civic type R owner abt their car comfy ride...i been in one, and trust me, u dont want to be the one sitting behind even for a short lunch ride...

thumbup.gif Totally agree with you. I am using Nissan Xtrial now. Looking for changing to K5 instead of Teana. I will expect a lot different experiences in driving K5 compare to SUV. I have set my expectation clear before booking for K5. It come with modern design and features rich car. I do not expect spacious and comfort that I can get from Teana.

I always respect people express their own opinions in any forums. Some are really helpful information but other may not. I would advise you follow your heart. I have tried 508 and Optima. Both are good cars. I choose optima smile.gif

Check out the latest comparison test from car and driver. Optima rank 3rd from the top 6.

Glad to see optima stand out in D-segment cars.

My concern with the quality of the glove box and dash board is that after awhile driving it on malaysian road there might noise coming out from loose parts.

Added on April 11, 2012, 8:18 pmBtw, congrates on your new purchase, ken7908.

Probably you may like to read more global reviews about K5. Defect on accessories are very common to all types of cars. It may and may not happened to yours unit. It is QC and not design issue.

Cheers

Today I introduce my friend to test drive KIA Optima in Bangsar. He is so impress with the car. He would like to try out camry too. We drove over to PJ Toyota branch and test out Camry. When we talked about Kia Optima, the SA immediately shown us this thread via his ipad saying a lot of problem being discuss. He asked us think twice before consider Optima.
My friend told him probably he should look at camry thread as well and the SA just keep quite. My friend is 80% go for Optima. He told me everything can fix will never be a problem.
