Thats due to the stock clearance exercise for the current model. Discounts up to RM 13K and many ppl realise that the upcoming Camry is somewhat crap.

Actually, do we need tinting for the car? I thought it comes with some reflective glass already? I ask because i intend to change my front windscreen once every couple of years (take advantage of the windscreen cover). Stone chips and sand will slowly chip away at your windscreen and soon visibility will be poor and wipers wont work well.

There are no 2.0T for right-hand-drive markets in the world right now.

I'm actually secretly wishing that Kia would drop the 2.0T engine into the Koup to make it a true performance car. The Veloster will soon be equipped with the new 1.6T but the Koup deserves more.

Sorry to burst your bubble mate, but there's only the 2.4L Optima in Australia. The video that you watched is likely the caradvice one, or the shorter NRMA one, where both features the same Platinum version. Over here Kias are sold as S, Si, SLi, and Platinum variants instead of the North American LX, EX, SX.

In fact, Kia has recently hinted that they are shifting their focus to refining their smaller engines such as the 1.2T and 1.6GDi due to the shift in the global market demand to small cars. Which means even more bad news for the RHD Turbos. The domestic Korean market and North America are Kia's priority, and la and behold both are LHD markets. As with the majority of Europe, which will see Kia focus on the Cee'd and its variants which will utilise the smaller engines.

Question guys, if the k5 will be ckd in the future, will the price go down? Naturally, all ckd cars go down by at least 10k.

Guys, im sure many of you have been waiting for this news for some time.

Well, after 5 months of analysis and 9 test drives, ive finally booked my Bright Silver K5 today in Ipoh. I chose this dealer because of a number of reasons:

1) best trade in value for my 2003 Vios 1.5E (RM38K)
2) Branch manager was polite, respectful & had good customer service standards despite my many delays since Feb.
3) even though i was a serious buyer, he refused to allow me to test one of the Optima's there saying its for a customer and its not ethical for him to do so. (I was merely testing him).
4) He also agreed to absorb all the runner costs for getting a KL number plate
5) He said he has stock for Silver arriving by end month which would allow me to get my fav WWR plate.

Now need to seriously look into trading in the Nexen tyres.
