Getting piss with the SA of NAZA KIA in JB. I was promised the K5 will be ready last friday as they were surely pushed me like hell on the D/P, last week.
Then, received a call last friday saying the chq delayed the process and promised it will be ready on monday (ystrdy). Waited the whole day and the Mgr only replied at the afternoon saying pymnt only clear today, so it takes 3 days to get the docs ready since Ive reg a WWJ.

Totally irresponsible after they got my DP cheq. My advised to the people of Johor, never ever buy from the NAZAKIA @MAA. better go find dealers as I heard they can offered up to 700 discount. My mistake tho'... as I fell for the lady SA. hehehehe smile.gif

Anyone knows who/how can address the issue to?? Totally different experience when I got my VIOS. they should really look at the Japs in this case.

Filled up full tank and drove to penang today early in the morning at odo 500km. Once reach pg did my 1st service. Then just came back and odo is at 1280km without refuelling. So, its 780km and its shows on the screen distance to empty another 110km. Thats a very good fc. But all the cruise control at 110kmh.. Only once tried up to 170kph, it is very compose and solid. As for the handling body roll was very minimal. Tested at jelapang twisty road.  Was really impressed with the fc.

As for the paddle shift, there were doubts a few pages earlier on how long does it stay in that gear before going back to D, i can confirm that it is not a fix time. The car decides. On some cases its like 3s on some cases as on the downhill if u drop the gear it does not go back to d until its flat again.

As for the hill assist, i forgot to test the duration. Will update soon.

And, still havent taken image of my car with the k emblem. Will yry doing it soon
*
Good info man. notworthy.gif
Where did u get the k emblem again? My SA promised to get it for me. Anyway, wouldnt count on it. icon_question.gif

ODO meter when i got the car was ard 60km, coz they have to drive it to puspakom for CBU car inspection.

the unlock button and sidemirror adjust button is NOT illuminated.

new civic oso going for launching already...called honda to ask abt civic coz sister in law wants it, but they say current model stock no more, waiting for new civic delivery...

a bit sad abt the tail light issue, not the straight continuous strip..dunno why they change it...

wanted to change the rear number plate bulb..but cudnt take out the brown socket...cant see the clip, or izzit turn type..sked will break it...anyone changed it?
*
Got my bright silver unit yesterday. (My buying & collection process experience, was poor compared to 6yrs ago when I got my vios -so much better. Bottom line is, the SA to the Branch Mgr... They'll sucks.)

Saw my ODO at 65km, I guess it was ok. Drove up to kl last nite and man.... I just love the car. The cruise control very responsive.

I just paid 1k booking fee today and waiting for my load for approval. Once loan approved, hopefully by next tuesday or wednesday, should be getting the car in 2 weeks. Will be taking the white.

These are the things i got from my SA (FOC for me  icon_rolleyes.gif  )
1. CF plate with crystal font ( i hope he knows what I m saying)
2. Choose my own NO. (any No as long as it start with 9***)
3. 7pcs red logo
4. v-kool (any grade I choose as he offer me 50% off)
5. key chain
6. Petrol Full Tank
7. Lucky draw (prize is gps or mountain bike or LCD TV [the lcd tv not comfirm yet] - gurantee to win 1 of these)
8. Lucky draw (main prize for trip to watch EURO 2012 LIVE) - i think this apply to all who buy K5
9. Make sure my new car ODO less then 100km... around 60km is best - this also he promise me..  rclxms.gif
-- Hope I get all these as promised when I take delivery of the car...  blush.gif

He says can get by end of this month. Hopefully all the paperwork work out OK.

I did ask him about the red tail light. He said the full strip could be a 2011 model (they dont have rear aircond as well), the ones we r getting now is the 2012 model.

The K5 does comes with alarm. It is only silent when we armed it and disarmed it... something like the civic.

The smart key fod is not rechargable but use battery which can be replace.

where u got urs from?
the only logical way i can think of is, good SA probably will go to toyota or honda or those AP/recon car seller, coz there, they will get better sales volume and commission, compare to kia or hyundai or lower volume sales company..

tried the alarm, and YES, there is alarm...

anyone checked their car tyre pressure after collection ?
i think it is dangerous that the tyre got pre-pressured to 370kpa for mine..
*
Got mine from nazakia JB. Don't ever go there. U can accept if there's slacks in the tech knowledge.. but cust service ?? It's ur bloody job man!

How did u tried the alarm?

Damn I forgot bout the tyre pressure. I read its the other day. Thanks for reminding. Btw, where to get a good tint 3m or v-kool in subang? What's the price? Where did u get yours done?

I manage to get my K5 to 1000km today. Just three days after collected. hehehe obviously cant get enough of this car.

My driving from JB-Melaka-KL-Melaka-JB over the weekend help me to understand the car better. (of cuz, too lazy to read the manual). Wasnt aware on the auto-wiper mode until it was raining on myway back to JB. That's is just clever! and Im gonna say this again, the auto-cruise is pretty impressive. Responded well and can adjust the speed from the steering,... it just brilliant. (perhaps, i hv not have that much experience with the auto-cruise thing) Anyhow, it's best tool to ensure you dont get 'saman'.

I could figure out how to off the LED. even with the toggle is at OFF position, the LED strip left&right still on. can it be turn off?
It also took me sometimes to understand the fog rear light. it does looks kind of anoying with the incomplete strip. Hope NAZA recall and fix this.

Like the idea of opening the door/boot without even have to take out the key from the pocket. This K5 really have that small things which a driver wish would have. simply brilliant.

When I was in KL @petronas, a guy driving a BMW came and asked if he can take a look at the car. He sits in and was admiring the car. However, dont do this. Probably not the best option to allow stranger into your car. But my instinct told me that he was genuine.
and yes, it's nice feeling to own a good & admired car. hihihi.

It's the wife bday today, so there's another reason to drive the car around. hehe.

done SG on my car...rm700 fly lioaw...haha...took abt 4hrs. Think faster coz new car, not much to clean or prepare b4 the coating, and also the reason why it is cheaper than old used car... worthiness, still cant say...car is glowing, and touching it feel really smooth..wont comment much now, coz it suppose to save me washing time, and no need to polish for 5 years...so will wait and see b4 give comment...

Bro, keep the update on th sglow. I'm considering to have it done the next time I'm in kl. Can't find any reliable PPS in JB.
Just notice today, if u come near to the car, the inside light will auto on (if u put the light switch at 'door'). Everyday, the car has the power to surprise!

err...u mean length is lesser than ACCORD?

and one more thing...the fuel tank measurement or indication on the meter...is quite precise...wat i mean is, if it indicate last bar of fuel, it means very low...and if it is no more bar/blinking....it means going to FINISH....i pumped 66 liters (spec is 70ltr) in the last time straight after it went blinking...dont go pandai pandai drive another 50km thinking "aiyar...still got wan lar...!!!"  hahahaa...just my observation...
*
The car was initially big for me before few hours of driving it then only getting use to it. However i still find it quite big for some of the parking lots. (maybe due to I drive a Vios befoe/still). Balik kampung, I used to park my vios easily at the porch. with K5, I need to go close to the wall (takut calar bro).

My wife has been driving the K5 to work for the past 4days, So I guess it should be alright. She used to drive Satria Neo (Manual) btw.

for FC, a full tank of RM 120 will go to 700km I did 50-50 hiway & city.

Gonna go for my 1000km service tomorrow - I've checked and the SC told it will cost RM 289. Should I go for Full Syn or Semi or Minerals?

while u are stationary (no need P, N oso can)adjust ur seat to the desire position.
Press "SET", then press 1 or 2.
U will hear 2 beeps and the setting is done.
U dont have to hold the button 1 or 2.
Just press and release immediately.
To recall the setting position stored in 1 or 2, your car oso must be in stationary.

U got fed up coz the prob is the car have to be in stationary, same as setting the oil change menu. Have to be in stationary for safety reason.

Blue colour is nice, so is black, and red as well...maybe those stocks are hot cakes, so they bring to m'sia those unwanted colours?
*
Thanks guys. No wonder my initial trial didn't work.
Landy:
1) manual + me = zzzzzzzz......
2) if u read my previous comments, u know my SA sucks! Hancurrrrrr!

I did my 1000km service, but the next oil change menu still nothing. Do the service centre set it or we can do that?

does anyone knows how to trigger the headlamp washer ?

Switch on the light, and pull the mist (wiper) stick.

The headlamp washer wont work if the light is off.

Guys i have some questions regarding the Optima after my last test drive over the weekend:

1) I noticed a burnt smell coming from around the car after the 30 min drive. This also happened on earlier test drives. I notice this happens after fast acceleration. Why is this happening?

2) The steering wheel behaves rather erratically when turning corners over bumpy roads or hard braking. Like it has a life of its own

3) The area around the car is also very warm possibly from the heat emanating from underneath the car. Ive never experienced this on other cars before.

Can someone provide some insight especially current owners? Anything mentioned on foreign websites/forums on possible similar problems on the Optima?
*
I dont experience any of the above.

However, I do have this SQUEEKY SOUND at the right rear when ever i do my slow turn. It.s like someting heavy on the cushion moving (there's no passenger at the back). Very uncomfortable.

Used cars out of the Klang Valley usually fetch a slightly higher price, hence outstation dealers can give you better prices for your old car. Case in point, last time I helped my sis in law to sell her Kelisa, dealers in KV offered around 15-17k, I secured an outstation direct buyer for 21k. A few outstation dealers offered me 19-20k with the highest being from a dealer in Terengganu.
*
CM98,
get ur vios posted in mudah. there's a high chance u can get a better deal from direct buyer there. I sold my Neo for 32K. Trade in with Kia - they only want to take for 25-26K. That is even before looking at the car!

So, give it go. That is 7k extra! The best part the guy bought CASH!!!!!

Never had that issue yet.. No burnt smell noticed.
My only problem is the sound of dry rubber from my rear right absorbers whenever i drive on uneven surfaces. It sounds like it lacks grease or something.. Anyone with similar problems or know how to solve it?
*
I got the same problem. yeah it's like the sound of dry rubber, esp when i maneuvering slow. Not sure what is that. but the sound is sure coming right rear absorber. DAMN!!!!!

I hope it went away after couple of days... but it's still there. Forgot to mention this during my 1000km service.

Smell that too! and too sayang to try that. But given the info by CM98, i might wanna drop by again to KIA and give it a try to a test drive unit. WIll get back on this once i get the chance. thumbup.gif
