kinda disappointed with the below....excerpt from paultan website
<< There doesn’t seem to be any indications of the engine though, as we could not find any badging indicating engine size on the rear end – just a sole badge that says Optima. Anthony Lim tried out the 198hp 2.4 liter GDI model in Australia earlier this year, but it seems we won’t be getting that engine because of issues with our petrol quality. >> |

good review cybermaster. A question here, how is it compared to Sonata?
Recently I drove my friend's sonata, it was just for a short distance/time (30 min X2). My first impression was, the engine was a little noise compared to others in its range. Power, I'm not going to complaint, because thats the reason they have tiptonic shift, if one wants power. ANd I didnt like the stereo set, it didnt have a decent display panel, which is now market standard, I was surprised on that. I cant say much on road handling, since its was short drive, but it did well overall on humps and bumps, since we had 6 in the car. oh ya, both front seats, seems to be lower than standard car, O felt I was driving my EX-Wira 1.6! In a good way.... BTW, I own the older version of Optima. This post has been edited by VeeJay: Feb 6 2012, 10:54 AM |
