Which is the "another" dealer you are refering to? Woulh like to check with as many SA as possible to which gives me the best trade in rates.

Klang Valley trade in prices will be lower compared to outstation. If u want a good price, try places like Ipoh. The difference is about RM3-4K.

If the current running number is WWQ 2xxx and i want WWR 9889 before end month..how much would it cost roughly? Do i need to book in advance?

Is the tendering for Wwr open? If it is then you can tender for that number. If its closed then pray that no one bought it then I think you can buy it for 300 subject to its availability. If you know the SA well, you can ask him for the list of the previous tenders so that you can roughly estimate how much you need to bid. For mine, I asked a runner to do it for me thus making it much easier. IMO 9889 can be bid within 500 as it is not single or double digit plates.

Another option would be using a lousy number and bid for a personalized one next year as Jpj planning to implement it. Imagine K5 num plate on ur k5

I dont really wanna go thru the hassle of bidding. I was thinking of getting that number once WWR opens in about 2 weeks time.

On a different note, can somebody tell me how much an Optima front windscreen costs? Also how much would i need to spend to insure all windows as well.

Tendering a number is easy, it is just the time that it takes from submitting tender to putting your car on the road.

I've gone through it myself without runner and got my triple number plate (eg. 1112) for merely RM3XX.

9889 as far as i could remember no body would bid it usually, but you must rush to JPJ to buy it as soon as it turns WWR, before somebody takes it from you.

Go google "wheelersgate", it compiles some old tendering results which is very very useful for your JPJ adventure.

Personally i'd prefer to tender as there's no dispute or hidden procedures once you get your number allocated. When i went to the counter to check for my preferred number, i was asked to "bincang" with the pengarah as they have kept the number away for "sale". People can be a bit difficult when they have something you want. You know la.

My sources tell me WWR may b released fr this coming friday earliest. Which means the running number for tt series start on tt day onw. I would suggest you get a runner to buy it off before its listed as a running number, with the cond. it has not been tendered for.

I think he means that you can start tender for the number on Friday the earliest

nope...tender for WWR already close...normally it closes 1 mth before opening normally, depending on states JPJ

wat he mean is that, the normal buying number for WWR will start on friday..so u can buy the number 9889 provided no one tender it few weeks ago, or someone queued earlier than u to buy it...

Confirm is rear door sound.. I tried ask some1 to press hard on the door, the sound gone..

The discount I heard make me heart pain..

I insured the windscreen. It was valued at rm 2500.
Had to pay 15% of the value for insurance. So paid rm 375 extra..
Worth it though..
