Miui's dont differ from each other that much when it's english...

MIUI from HQ China is meant for Desire at first and then started ported to others...

miuiandroid and miui-XJ has larger community.. so they can actually fix some problems themselves....

as for miui-au, it again took the ROM and make it only for desire... they have a very good own A2SD that works automatically too..

I've used all three i dont see any big difference... but im sticking to AU because it is meant only for Desire and the community is friendlier...

of course, like djlah and phantom said... it should be more stable... im not pros like them to notice the difference though....

you need to understand chinese... not just google translate.... im too busy to do it....

bootloop huh... sure you didnt flash something just before that? if yes dalvik cache might be the one that's causing it...

miuiandroid uses google translate and some cannot be understood.. yeah i am zychron lol....

if they do that everyweek i'll just ask Fllash to get it from them... theirs have better english than i have... >< and whatever translated makes more sense there than in mine...

when charging time i used before by some other custom lockscreens... they just implement it into default... as for overall 1.7.15 i really love the UI redesign and colours... and of course... FM!

it's a good thing the android circle... but... lazy la wan add everyone into circle lol... they add me first can ah.. then i just drag and drop =x how nice...

1) follow the guides on XDA... basically you can install any version.. just personal preference of what kind of A2SD you like... details about their difference is on XJ's download main page.. i used to flash A2SD and i heard good reviews about D2W.... but i dont think the difference is alot if you're not developers...

2) i cant help with custom boot.. im still using stock ever since i flash my first ROM... which was MIUI XJ last froyo version...

3) If i remember correctly, xj included HTC_IME inside.. the original one... so your chinese input with handwriting should be there.. it's the IME keyboards we are talking about... not ROM.. english keyboards are naturally there.. be it android ot HTC IME... if you flash MIUI-Au version.... you get only the GB keyboard with multilanguage. without chinese... but MIUI-Au is stable and only for desire... and have a better A2SD (automatic... no su a2sd cachesd commands needed)

I use google pinyin too.. but he wan a KB with chinese and handwriting together... most probably the stock one.. i flashed XJ's version once... if i remember correctly HTC IME is included.. meaning stock IME is there... so should have no problem... but that was March when i flashed it.. i dont know about the latest version.. Im all MIUI Au now ... just like you(djlah) and phantomash =x

i wanna finish 1 2 then 3... but i start off with inotia 3 first... if you havent try that out... they have a party system so it's better... more characters too!

zenonia 1 yes... but im comfortable with it... zenonia 2 3 and inotia 3 all can be repositioned and resized...

should auto jump back to recovery's main menu when done.... tried the Back button?

many custom ROMs with 2.3.4 or even 2.3.5 are already rooted... i guess there is a rooting solution somewhere for sure?
