I think iit might be due to the upgrade. Since htc state before they were having problems with memory when upgrading the desire to gingerbread. Not too sure though just a suspicion. Think most if not all people here are using custom roms

I've upgraded to the official gingerbread few days back, and all I can say is
pros:
-phone is less laggy
-battery lasts longer
-fast boot
-keyboard has magnifying glass
-better copy and paste
-the clock actually flips now. smile.gif
-different notification bar
-added a few new functions such as pocket mode (phone rings louder in pocket)
-improved battery status
-browser looks different

cons
-phone reboots a certain occasion, usually when taking photos using touch screen.
-Google maps, market etc missing from market (have to update manually)
-no sense 3.0
-locked bootloader

Just a quick question. Which MIUI is better? XJ or the others. And for the others, which is the best? I don't know which to download. Australia or British.

hi all bro, i just bought my desire.
my problem is, i can only connect to streamyx wifi,
but I can't connect to UniFi Wifi (don't know is unifi line problem or the unifi free modem problem).
I have tried 3 different UniFi users at my friends home,my desire can't detect.
my desire can only detect normal wifi only.
anyone know what problem?

Go into your Unifi Modem, change the WiFi channel to lower than 11.

Should be able to detect. Desire can't detect Channel higher than 11.

But if you're rooted you can change that.
On WiFi Settings press Menu and advanced, then there can change

mainly its custom PCLaren's A2SD script, which saves quite a bit of internal storage.

also, the best English translation smile.gif

plus few other Au's own custom tweaks.

I had same issue like yours but only happen on 1.8.26. I guess is caused by SuperUser.apk
i revert back to old superuser. this is my temp. workaround.
