yes, learn how to root it and start flashing custom ROMs
QUOTE(jonuslee @ Aug 20 2011, 01:40 PM) Hi,guys. I use my desire until no battery and then baru charge the phone.will it harm the battery?and decrease it lifespan?I always do that...please share your opinion...thanks... like ShinnKQ mentioned, this actually shortens your battery lifespan, rapid charge cycle is better for the battery, meaning you should charge it whenever you can. This post has been edited by phantomash: Aug 21 2011, 08:24 PM |

QUOTE(alvin ong @ Aug 21 2011, 08:27 PM) been using custom GB ROM for the past 6 months or so, not much problems, one that I can recall is slow USB transfer rate.. so far I don't see any other problems for app compatibility. definitely recommended to do so. even the official GB update is faster than the froyo one based on our members feedback. |

QUOTE(alvin ong @ Aug 21 2011, 08:46 PM) basically when it's near or same axis with another point, it will swap places or starts f***ering up.Won't notice while doing pitch to zoom but when u play games with control pad and attack/jump/etc buttons aligned next to one another on 1 Axis, you will wonder why u randomly do moves. Doesn't affect non-gamers, rest assured. If Maxis then SIS also. Should be fine. |

changed to supernova rom but laggy and got problem..
now changed to acesmod007 rom.. wanna ask, is there any particular system data that we should or should not restore from TB? after restoring missing apps+data (around 70 apps), i have 70mb left.. but after restoring system data, only have 15mb left.. plus, my contact only shows sim number. i've already import contact from sdcard, but everytime i reboot phone, it's gone back to showing only sim numbers... same problem when i used supernova data2sd rom.. |

QUOTE(geniousboy @ Aug 24 2011, 01:37 PM) owhhh... ok then. will reflash everything and start again.. most of the rom I using before, after connect internet and sign in our gmail account in setting. I leave the auto-sync enabled.btw djlah, first of all, how to sync the contacts i already saved to gmail? it's take a while, then automatic my phookbook have all my contact included email contact too, I just hide those uncallable. if you difficulty or any issue on this easiest way, then login gmail in your pc. click "contact", then drop down "more action" button and select import/export. save as vCard. then copy it to your sd card. I believe most of rom have import/export option in phonebook option. This is manual way. |

I'm using MyBackup *Root*, works like charm. Normally I would restore Call Log, SMSs/MMSs, Contacts and few essential apps like Papago and Better Keyboard.
One thing when restoring Contact, I found out the contacts is not restored unless you log-in thru your Google account first... |
