I have a charger dock, and i hook it up all the time during my office hour. My question is, if I set the screen to "Never Turn Off" mode, will it bring any harm to the AMOLED (or SLCD for comparison sake) screen?

It will only bring harm (?) to LCD if the images on the screen aren't moving after long hours? I'm not sure. Long as in >24 hrs prolly. Not to sure. Google it up

Google it up Won't be more than 6 hours a day I guess... as long as it doesn't explode or something I'm fine If it somehow reduces the screen lifespan then screw it, it's >1 year now anyway. I just wanna turn my phone into a mini Twitter machine This post has been edited by samurai1337: Jun 24 2011, 02:23 PM

I just wanna turn my phone into a mini Twitter machine Then no problem, go ahead A few advice though: 1) For the first few days - maximise your usage | check on the temperature - If the numbers are reasonable = screw it, do it everyday 2) It won't explode, but I can almost be certain that this probably is bad towards the battery's lifespan but heck /care it's >1year for you lol Overall, temperature is quite important since Desire's Mobo is known for overheat so I'd be careful on that This post has been edited by ShinnKQ: Jun 24 2011, 02:26 PM

It can get pretty hot after 30 minutes you can use tasker to set to something like say.. turn on the screen every X minutes for Y minutes, if you want to. lol This post has been edited by phantomash: Jun 24 2011, 02:36 PM

I mean since samurai1337 initially wanted to on his phones screen for like 6 hours straight, but gave up on that idea since it would overheat the phone / worried that it might damage the phone or something, so I suggested that he can use tasker to set the screen to on for like say 15min then off it for like 10 minutes, then repeat. plus you can also set the whole process to activate at what time you want and end at what time you want This post has been edited by phantomash: Jun 24 2011, 04:03 PM
