Any other Diablo III kaki out there? I want to start forming an uber party. Lvl 70 HF rings seems like a risky take, but that 45% EXP is goddamn enticing.

Let's kickstart some discussions here.
This is from a recent discussion in our LINE chat: Would you rather be woo-ed over with a sleazy/cheesy/corny pickup line, or the conventional 'hi' when contacted via apps or social messengers? |

QUOTE(Kevmeister @ Apr 30 2014, 04:21 PM) Let's kickstart some discussions here. I'm okay with both.This is from a recent discussion in our LINE chat: Would you rather be woo-ed over with a sleazy/cheesy/corny pickup line, or the conventional 'hi' when contacted via apps or social messengers? A simple hi is more than sufficient enough as long as someone else start the conversation. Cheesy pick up is alright at times, can be fun and funny in a way but if it's too much then it be an annoyance. I usually do cheesy pick up lines with someone i already knew and comfortable with just for the laugh. |

QUOTE(Teddysaur @ Apr 30 2014, 04:56 PM) I'm okay with both. Well, coming from my personal experience, I am rather turned off by 'hi' and instinctively find that if they were to start conversations like this, they would severely lack vocabulary and would have a hard time carrying out proper conversations. I mean, if this was done face-to-face rather than the apps/messengers, I'm perfectly fine (I usually start conversations anyway).A simple hi is more than sufficient enough as long as someone else start the conversation. Cheesy pick up is alright at times, can be fun and funny in a way but if it's too much then it be an annoyance. I usually do cheesy pick up lines with someone i already knew and comfortable with just for the laugh. I've yet to see anyone use a cheesy/corny pickup line from these apps, sadly. I mean, we have our profiles written and if they don't take the effort in trying to understand us better in order to begin a topic of conversation, what's next? Or perhaps, their intention is not to get into our heads, but our pants instead? /rhetorical question This post has been edited by Kevmeister: Apr 30 2014, 05:15 PM |

QUOTE(Teddysaur @ Apr 30 2014, 09:49 PM) Haha. oh the amount of irony in your post alone is staggeriing. you're saying you're not judging him and yet you started off the first sentence with your own.From my observation, i can see you are rather someone who make your own assumption and judgement beforehand. Dont get me wrong, it's not a bad thing.. nor a good thing actually The reason why i bring this up is because, sometimes it's best to hold on, on our assumption first before we done our verdict to someone. Because, imho, sometimes what you feel and think about someone might not be correct. Someone who use hi to start the conversation doesn't mean they're bland and down right boring. Maybe they think it's not the right situation to use cheesy pick up lines etc. There are a lot of factors to be considered in this case. Haha as simple as this thing might sounded like, it's actually complicated. Sometimes, we need to give a person a chance. you're not a regular poster here right? |

@Teddysaur
Everyone is entitled to their own perception of others. How people think of me, is on their end. How I react to that judgment is of and from my own, which I hardly care what people think of me. Also, my reply wasn't meant as an attack and just my precepts to how I handle greetings in the virtual environment. Cheers |
