I would prefer that this thread be a news and completed works and THEIR RELATED discussions only to be honest. I've been guilty of going off topic a few times too, and those posts belong in hobbytiam.
Honestly, seeing page after page of people talking about their bts gunpla hunt gets meh quite fast And I'm not even gonna start ranting about those who seem to feel that it is ok to show off their PVCs and other non mecha modelling stuff here. You show off in hobbytiam, not here. |

Very soon. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(Parody @ Jun 26 2011, 11:36 PM) [color=purple]I hope Stargeezer is reading this Nah... no more love for Dreissen. At 2000 yen it's a wee bit too expensive for me to get since the bazooka is the only thing that got me interested to begin with. It's still a pretty good kit - huge compared to generic 18m mechas, fairly impressive articulation for a bulky mecha, above-average details; but just not enough to justify the money that I need to spend. So, no one got the Hg Dreissen for the rocket bazooka? [color] Not forgetting that 1) the rocket bazooka still lacks a few parts compared to Sinanju's version and 2) it'd still be useless for poses given Sinanju's large shoulder armour and rear thrusters. Eyeing the GM Custom now... BURNING TAI-EEEEEEE !!! Night shift is killing me... ZZZZZZ This post has been edited by StarGhazzer: Jun 27 2011, 04:52 AM |

That's one problem, another problem is the 'one and only' dust!. Display those things open like that will most probably attracts them unless your room is air tightla. (I'm talking about putting in the glass shelf btw) I heard someone sealed his glass shelf last time biggrin.gif QUOTE(rihuhs @ Jun 27 2011, 10:38 AM) if the glass shelf was sealed, then how to if let say, some models falls or maybe you want to change pose? You cant totally air seal your shelf, not practical to do so. The moment you open your shelf dust will creep in. You can never eliminate dust however you can minimize the amount of dust going in. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « All shelf have some gap by the door in order for it to open and in the case of ikea's detolf, those were huge. Over time, dust will creep in from those gap and accumulate on you precious models. All I did was cut out some sponge and fill up the gap as best as possible. The soft nature of the sponge will contour to the surface of the glass door creating a seal once the door is close Not the perfect solution as dust will still get in since sponge has billions of tiny holes in them but its better then nothing. |
