wat r u doing to care for the fur? Dull colour cud be due to shampoo n food, lack of supplement etc. And if ur poodle has been infected with some skin prob b4, the outer layer of fur is already managed, so u need to trim it short while on treatment. Then it will be fine again.

There r so many products in the market for coat.

Went to see doc and he says the pus is normal because his groin area got 'bulu' and its not clean.

But the worry part is he poo 7 times a day recently although feed only twice a day. And his poo is very soft-like-watery. So doc assume its worms or something more than that.

Bought shitloads of medicine, hopefully he can recover by then for his 3rd jab due. His jab have to postpone til he recovers, aigh naughty boy. Always go licking around the floor consuming everything he sees.

wasnt he de-wormed b4 he came home to u? not related to food? did he put on some weight? which vet did u go to? dont let him lick esp bathrooms if u hv cleaners on the floor...it;s corrosive .

Heyy, my sunshine for the past week has been really picky about her food.. Especially during her meal times, I usually soak her kibbles in water Caz she will eat very fast n den end up choking, n she doesn like to drink water, unless the water is mix with her kibbles... But starting from last week she doesn seem to have much appetite during her meal times... But after managing to get her to eat, she will tend to vomit back out all her food.. This has happen a couple of times for the past few days ady.. And I'm starting to get really worried ady... I dunno is it because of the heartgard med as it only started after she took her med.. (she ate her med 5days later than her usual Caz of a mix up) but so far she has already took the same med or the past 6 months also no prob!! Really starting to get really worried!!

Anyone has any idea what is it or should I take her to the vet, I Didn take her earlier Caz she seems normal running up n down.. Hunting for food.. Den when she see us eat she still very active keep want us feed her...

Thanks for all who replied.

I believe could be the time when I transport him from cage to wet kitchen to poo and sometimes he's stubborn so he will go sniff around the gas tanks etc...lick the floor.

Anyhow he's on medication now after brought him to Hands N' Paws and he's 3rd jab would have to delay due to his health issues.

And his pus is normal though since his groin area is dirty it seems, so doc went to shave those area to prevent from further infection.

Conclusion is; he is a dirty boy.

Hi guys, yesterday just brought a Poddle for my GF. Last time she rare dogs before but given away to other ppl cos they move to other state. Now that i brought a male poodle for her. The poodle is brown in color and quite fat sweat.gif . Only 4 months old. Very hyperactive.

My Gf name is Austin. When brought it back and he keep making noise. The shopkeeper said is normal. just let it be don manja it too much. After feed i and GF went out. When i come back the cage got its poo and pee. So my gf took him out and clean him. He runs around and fooling. Then after that i saw him lay on the floor for a few sec. He pees again. sweat.gif He keep repeating for a few times, not so many time la. laugh.gif My gf was so annoyed and scold him. But he still running around.

I would like to ask,

1.is poodle normal to pee in the lay down condition for MALE?
2.How to train him to poo and pee inside his cage? I haven clear his dump to let him know to poo and pee there.
3.How many times and quantity i have to feed him? Afraid obesity. My GF feed him 2 small tea spoons of pet food celup with warm water and feed him morning and night. That is what the shopkeeper told her.
4.How to train him not to bite everything? He likes to bite. zzz doh.gif
5.How to train him to adopt new environment?

Really need some help from poodle expert here. notworthy.gif

Thanks

Dr. Mervin is very helpful. Been finding him ever since. Bought lots of stuff there too like the can food he prescribed, DMG supplement he recommended, medicines, antiseptics, antibiotics etc. All in all I think I spend like a thousand already including the stuff I previously bought (food, baby wipes, tissues, toys, cleaner for ear and eye, shampoo etc)

Anyhow I realize he is getting very naughty ever since his stomach feeling better from diarrhea. Every time put him back in cage or sometimes no apparent reason he hears noise he will bark and shriek like nobody business cannot tahan already.

Hills Can Food for diarrhea problems. Now he got no more diarrhea already I'm mixing his precept with fish4dogs until he get used to it. DMG is very very good, with a few drips he can go really hyper active 24/7. Anyhow I don't think it is that expensive considering it can last pretty long, bought a week ago and the bottle is not even half. Okay lah for me, just have to reduce from going massage twice a week to once a week only haha.

Congratulation on the new baby poodle. smile.gif

Below is my 2 cent opinions regarding your enquiries:
1. I hope you're referring to pee in squading down position like the adult female dogs, as pee while laying down is a serious problem. It is normal for male puppies to pee in the squad down position, they will only change their position to lifting their leg up as they grow older and turn adult. Anyhow, it is nothing to be concerned of since your puppy is just 4 months old. And personally I have seen female dogs pee lifting one of their legs up. tongue.gif
2. My suggestion is not to train your puppy to pee inside the cage, rather pee on the newspaper or nowadays you can find wee wee pad and wee wee tray for that purpose. The reason I don't recommend you to toilet train him to pee inside the cage being that, it is not hygience and it is hard to clean up after they pee and poo in the cage. Back to the question on how to toilet train. 1st, be persistent and firm with the place you want him to do his business, if you see him sniff and in the squatting down position, tell him in a firm voice and say no, don't make it too complicated for them, like baby, you can't wee wee here, you are a a good boy ok? simple and short with just a no and firm body language, carry him and place him on the place that you want him to pee and poo. And see if he do his business, remember, persistent is the key here. In the market nowdays there are housebreaking spray, which have a scent that attract especially the male dog to pee on that area, but of course, many of claim that it doesn't work on their dog, and 1 of the reason that it doesn't work on them because
3. Normally for puppy below 6 months, I advise you to feed him three times a day, and half glass of kibbles, filled it with hot water and place it on his bowl.
4. For young puppies, they will bite almost everything, and some might even favour cables and expensive furnitures, it can be a headache, give him a toy that make "quacky" sound to chew on.
5. They will adapt to the new environment as they grow, this doesn't need to train them, just talk and play with them when you have got the time, bath and groom them yourself is a good way to create a strong bond in betweeen owner and furkids.

Hope my opinions help, anything can leave us a message again, I'm sure many of the poodle experts here would be glad to help.
