research done. i think those police who summoned yr friends are referring to rule 23 of Road traffic rules 1959. there is a provision in that rule which refers to animals and how are they to be kept/handled when they are being transported on the road. Proper interpretation of the law refers to those livestocks such as chicken, cow that are to be ttransported from one place to another. those animals HAVE to be caged. and lastly, if they were to argue that dogs include those animals that needs to be caged, there's also a special exemption saying that all the rules relating to animals SHALL NOT BE APPLICABLE TO DOGS. ..
the reason why im doing this is to protect and prevent you guys out there from being summon for an offence that does not even exist. know your rights

she is 3 weeks old and very very playful~
hehe... just adopted her last Tues and she's learning fast! only a week know where to peepee n poopoo on the wee wee pad already, now she only do at the wrong place occasionally.
last weekend my bro came to visit her and taught her to 'sit', and since then whenever I want to give her a treat, she'll automatically sit lols 
the only thing is that she like to bite almost anything! especially my fingers 

anyway, I enjoy reading this thread and meeting all the experienced/new poodle's mummy and daddy here.

stumbled upon a toy poodle yesterday evening when i was coming back home. The little girl (female) was very lost and just sat right on my car porch. First thought is that perhaps the little fler was lost so bought it inside and gave it some food but it won't eat.

I brought it for a walk to see if the owner are looking for it (it was already quite late around 8 plus cos raining) but couldn't see anyone looking for a dog. In the end brought it back and leash it at the back of house (wet kitchen area) but it was making alot of noise. As i have a house tenant staying at the back of the house thus it's not fair to the guy to suddenly have a dog back there. It was making alot of noise when there's no human around (my landlord don't allow pets inside the house).

In the end had to leash to the front porch. It was barking quite abit when i left her. Went on for 10 minutes then suddenly no sound at all.. came downstairs, the poodle was missing already... i think someone came in from neighbour side and took the dog (main gate is lock but next door neighbour don't lock their gate).

Sigh, perhaps i should've ignored my landlord and kept the poodle in the house. She's so cute and very very well mannered when there's people around. Already wanted to adopt it if there's no owner come up to claim as i'm already moving into my own apartment. Hopefully whoever came in to take the dog is the rightful owner and not some dognapper trying to make a quick score.

I taught Dorian "crawl" command, he was so unwilling to do it but for the sake of getting the treat, he growls while crawling.. LOL! 

Typical general question, when should I contact my breeder for MKA cert? He's 3 months plus now.

Hi! I found this thread sometime ago and thought it useful to discuss with other owners of this beautiful breed. Meet my bebe! He's my pride and joy and I love him so much. He's on Addiction Salmon bleu for puppies, and he's supposed to be a tiny toy, but he's close to 3kg and 7months old now, and certified sound and healthy by the vet. When I first got him, he was so weak and couldn't even stand up for more than 10 secs. He was slighter longer than the size of my palm. I had to feed him soaked kibbles given by the breeder one by one, gloucose water and powdered milk. I even had to hold his head up to feed him. It was such a huge comittment at the beginning. Well, I chose him, and like when we have a human child, if the baby is weak, we don't send him to the nearest rumah anak yatim, do we. So, I had very little sleep and rest for the first month.

On his 3rd month he was already running, jumping and later only I realised he barks and whines ALOT! It was no longer separation anxiety and leaning towards behavioral problem then. He was so attached to me because I gave him non-stop attention at first due to him being weak.  The next step was to discipline him. At 3 months, my bebe was already toilet-trained. Disciplining him took longer, close to 2 months. It started with letting him know what Hush, Quiet, Sit, Down, No bitting, Sleep, Cage mean.

I am happy to announce that by now at 7 months, he will walk to his playpan adjoined to his cage by himself when I tell him so. He stays quiet and plays with his pile of toys in his playpan whenever I work at home or clean the house. He goes to his 'toilet' by himself whenever he has to but when he sleeps in my room and the door is closed, he scratches the door to let me know he has to pee/poo. He loves it when I teach him new tricks and esp when I groom him. He LOVES being groomed and looking at his own reflection, sometimes he licks the mirror, sigh! Very vain dog! He loves wearing clothes and jumps up and down when I get accessories for him like scarf, bow, shirt etc. He likes almost everything, people, dogs, basically a perfect angel now and complains very little. There is one thing which he absolutely hates no matter what and I do not know why. He will bark non-stop and at an alarming sound whenever he sees a silky terrier. I've tried bringing him closer to different silkies and all the same response. He's even friendly to Rotts, giant Schnauzer and Chihuahua but never a silky.
