*This is a Wide Angle lens, while Keychain Camera #3 is "zoom" type. *With the Pen clipped on your shirt pocket, you can easily record 2 people in front of you (office table distance) during meeting.

PEN: - This cam is Wider Angle type. - Shooting thru a dirty aquarium glass (as you can see the right side glass if full of algae) - Slightly higher res than keychain's - While keychain is sitting on top of the pen to record the video at the same time to compare. - Over all picture is good, good focus at near distance due to its wide angle lens.
KEYCHAIN: - Keychain is ZOOM type compared to pen. - Keychain is just sitting on top of the pen to record the scene at the same time - Directly facing the dirty algae growing glass, shooting into the aquarium. - Fishes were very close to the glass to find out what's happening.. Due to its Zoom type lens, it's unable to focus correctly at close (around 10cm) distance. But if you do notice, the rocky background (certain distance from lens) is clearer and detailed than pen's even though this is of lower res. This is why #3 still the best for a some ppl. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is just a rough video shooting for a general visual comparison betweek Keychain and Pen cam. - A wider angle VS zoom lens. - For this scene (close distance shooting), Pen cam may win, but for other different scenery, a #3 keychain may outrun it in certain graphical detail. - It's all ended up WHICH design works better for your own application. - Keychain wins for it's clear detailed video taking at its resolution range, with the well-known Sunplus chipset, the white balance, contrast...do consider too. Thus it's famous for the combination of overall.. - Pen camera here wins for it's wider angle (for some application), the design, and a close distance shooting, higher res too. While it is slightly dark when recording is a low light environment, though this can always be fixed with a simple video editing prog to adjust brightness / contrast...
But the image for both is on par... for me.
NOW when keychain is roughly 15cm away from the tank.. (with more glass reflections..) Watch from youtube website better... dont knw why it is so blur when watching here..
