Hi guys.. I wanted to play this game but I am going to the UK nxt year for studies. The question I would like to ask is that: SEA region games allow you to play in the SEA server and NA server. If I go to UK, will the game work? Will I be able to connect to the NA server?

Thx for the replies

Yes you will still be able to connect to NA/SEA server, regardless if you don't mind about the 3-4 seconds delay in every action you made in game, lol.

no prob... the selection of the region is only to limit you to meet player from correspondent server. like SEA server actually having player from HK & China.

And I heard that you do not need the new expansion to play multiplayer? Wings of Liberty will do right?

SCII : wings of liberty is the original title. The expansion of it will be Heart of the swarm and Legacy of the void which will come far along in the future.

btw. yes i have lived in uk previously and you can play in NA server without any delay/lag depending on ur ISP and SEA server with minimal to unnoticable delay.

Goodluck. UK is a nice country~ enjoy!

If they going to use the concept back in the Broad War days, they will let you to have a selection to connect to the original title, or broad war title.

blizzard had already announced they will have individual ladders like warcraft 3.

if you have not played warcraft 3 RTS ladders before, its like....Wings of liberty will have its own ladder, Heart of the swarm will have its own too. and they will have different units too. which means, wif wings of liberty, you cannot play heart of the swarm's multiplayer. and thus having different ladder too.

its like 2 entirely different games.

hope u can understand because i think i didnt explain well >.<

Yeah, but the input lag will be pretty bad.

a lot of LYN traders sell SC2. you can even buy directly from blizz with credit card (wont get the best prices obviously)

what you must check? obviously the legitimacy of the trader, dont want to get con right? and of course the pricing from the trader as you want the cheapest price right?
as a tip, i would advice to buy full retail box packages, as the chances of getting conned is lesser. cdkeys only sales are usually cheaper, however fraud/con are much easier to conduct using such methods. thats not to say there are no legit cd key only sellers, just that its hard to prevent con/fraud cases if you happen to bump into bad apples.

there should be other LYN dealers, as for physical shops, you could perhaps try the various shops at PJ SS2? like software boutique or heroes tavern (not too sure if they sell pc games as well)

Word to note. If your playing in the UK in SEA ure delay will be like half a second or so. Once you get used to it it'll be no problem, though the delay will make it harder to do certain stuff like marine micro and such. NA is smooth as it gets and it is much more newbie friendly imho.

and if your planning to buy the game through blizzard from the UK, dont do it. You wont be able to buy it through their servers as it automatically selects your region. Just buy it before you come here. If your planning to buy the EU version of the game, it will be cheaper compared to SEA, but they might not be that many friends. just my 2 cents biggrin.gif
