QUOTE(kelthuzad @ Feb 3 2013, 10:34 PM) there are thousands of fragrance out there, who's to say any of them doesnt smell good??be specific, elaborate.'rumusan' is all they teach in college now? I would love to elaborate, but I don't know where to start. How to describe what perfume smell I like? I think I like a perfume that projects a nice fragrance so when people come near me, they can smell it. |

QUOTE(ShinKen @ Feb 4 2013, 12:52 AM) some people like to believe so. some people don't. So what kind of perfume should I wear if I normally go out from morning-evenings,around 9 a.m to 6 p.m like that?people like me do. for an example, I don't simply wear sweet gourmand on a blazing hot day. It just doesn't feel right. or I don't simply wear safe citrus scents (like Chanel Allure Homme Sport) at night. again, it just doesn't feel right. |

QUOTE(ShinKen @ Feb 4 2013, 12:55 PM) For class? If it is, I suggest you try out Issey Miyake L'eau D'Issey Pour Homme. Never went wrong with anybody. Yea for classes, and maybe also for events, parties, going out, stuff like that. How long does this fragrance lasts? And when u said never went wrong with anybody, u have suggested this particular fragrance for others too?it's just my personal suggestion though as other people will have their personal recommendations too. Really no written rule about this and about what is right and what is not Have fun |

QUOTE(ShinKen @ Feb 4 2013, 01:12 PM) Personally, I prefer to wear different fragrances for different purpose. I don't wear fragrances I would wear to a party to class. Just not proper. What's worst is that people will give you the eye. Unless, if you want to be the d-bag who just don't care, go ahead then. So u mean that when u go to parties, u wear a stronger perfume, that wouldn't be suitable for classes? I have not yet come across a safe panty dropper cologne. I'm not sure if other sifus here have. Maybe just maybe, Thierry Mugler Pure Leather would do it just fine if you want to wear it for both class & party. But I'm not that type of guy though Panty dropper cologne? What's that supposed to mean? |

QUOTE(ShinKen @ Feb 4 2013, 02:50 PM) If budget seem to be the case, lower down your ego and get cheaper fragrances then. Like either Nautica Voyage or Antonio Banderas Blue Seduction for classes. Actually I was thinking on getting one expensive perfume, rather than getting more than one(but cheaper) perfumes like what u are suggesting. I googled the perfume u suggested earlier, the one by Issey Miyake, and the reviews are good, but Amazon have some reviews saying that some got a fake product. Where to get that perfume in Malaysia? And get another cheap fragrance for night out like Animale Animale by Aninale or Legend by Michael Jordan or even Rochas Man by Rochas. Cheappies but goodies Why different perfume for a night out by the way? Can't I use the one u suggested for classes, for night's out too? |

QUOTE(ShinKen @ Feb 4 2013, 04:25 PM) You're restricted by a bidget but you want to get the expensive perfume. I respect that. I reallt do. But if you don't mind please answer this question of mine. I mean I rather invest in a expensive perfume which smells good to me, rather than getting a few bottles of different perfumes, u know what I mean? I'm not necessarily restricted to a budget. I guess I'm not like you who wears different perfumes for different occasions. I just want a perfume which I can use for daily wear. And I didn't say an expensive perfume is better than a cheaper one what makes an expensive perfume better than the cheaper ones? |

QUOTE(ShinKen @ Feb 4 2013, 04:48 PM) in that case, I'll change my question. Ok, maybe the word invest was a little bit out of place. Buy would be the word. I don't know, maybe I have the perception that expensive fragrance are better than cheaper ones? why would you rather invest in an expensive fragrance over a cheap one? after answering my question, spend 7 minutes of your life watching this video. you might have a different point of view then. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLTIzhvd4Us second, you don't have to get 5 or 6 bottles lah. I would just recommend you 2 minimum. one for night (safe scent. inoffensive. goes well with hot weather). one for day (daring scent. loud. goes well with the cold). Wait, I'm not an expert in perfumes at all, I only know what smells nice and what is not, but did u get the arrangement wrong? The bolded part, shouldn't it be the other way around? Oh and I don't want loud perfumes at all |

QUOTE(ShinKen @ Feb 4 2013, 07:17 PM) Oh yea. Sorry. My bad. I meant it the other way round. Thanks for pointing that out. Nope no time Correctos! My definition of cheap would be around the RM 70 and up price range. Have you watched the video I shared above? Lastly, you might want to consider Unforgivable by Sean John. Been testing that sucker real deep. I came to the conclusion it's brilliant enough to take the heat and do justice in the cold air conditioned classroom. Serves well when you want to spray something nice to go out makan makan with your college/ uni buddies too. My personal choice of multi purpose fragrance for sure! Just a question: My friend has a few bottles of Dolce and Gabanna Light Blue perfume and wants to give me one. Is this a men's perfume or women's perfume? The box looks like something like this one: D&G Light Blue. I'm assuming it's a woman's perfume, but can a guy use it too? Oh and don't buy this D&G Light Blue perfume through the link I posted, because it seems many received knock-offs...from Amazon some more. |

QUOTE(kelthuzad @ Feb 10 2013, 06:51 PM) i was brought to a shop smack right in the middle of the town by someone that knows i like fragrance, and this is what i saw.... That's quite scary..how to differentiate between real and fake perfumes without looking at the price?Because some might not know what the real price is. Perhaps the smell of it? Wouldn't want to end up buying a fake perfume, and like u said, get skin issues later. But that's not to say real, authentic perfumes wouldn't make someone get skin issues too right?[attachmentid=3303173][attachmentid=3303176] its a heaven for all of us,only 1 problem, they are all fakes.very well done surprisingly, labelled as grade AAA,selling for lesser than rm50 each.with the money you save now for buying those, you will have to pay back for your skin cancer treatment and other health issues later.happy buying This post has been edited by theandy95: Feb 10 2013, 10:38 PM |

QUOTE(kelthuzad @ Feb 11 2013, 03:33 AM) original fragrance will only caused skin issues due to the wearer's own skin sensitivity issue towards certain ingredients used, and when a lot of people complain about their skin issues to the health authorities, those ingredients will be banned and many fragrance will be discontinued or reformulated, with fakes there are no guidelines to whatever they wanna put in the bottle, they can add in tap water or anything without you knowing it.i think i mentioned these problems for fakes previously.just dont buy and use any 'rejected/our version of.../grade a,aa,aaa' perfume.to be honest its really hard to know if its a fake or real because fakes nowadays can be imitated almost exactly the same.i brought a fake bottle with matching code on the box and bottle, almost identical smell,to 3 departmental stores for an experiment, and all said no problem with the bottle, its original.... So original fragrance is more safe to wear since there is regulation right? And so do all department stores in Jusco etc. sell original perfumes only? Because sometimes it's hard to compare fakes with original, what if it's the first time using a particular perfume, and there is no confirmed original perfume to compare with |

QUOTE(kelthuzad @ Feb 11 2013, 06:28 PM) if you buy from departmental store like jusco or parkson,99.9% are original, but i have heard before that one sales assistant replace an original bottle with a fake one, this happened at a chanel counter. Why the hell did the sale assistant do that? Anyway good to know that department stores always sell original perfumes only yes its very hard to tell them apart, but the chanel bleu i shown, the writing on the box is a lil different from the real box.sometimes check the sprayer and the tube and you can tell if its fake |

What brands of men's perfume do department stores like Jusco, Parkson or Metrojaya have? Do they have L'eau d'Issey and Burberry London?

QUOTE(Astroboy22 @ Feb 26 2013, 02:46 PM) Since they probably sell retail price, around how much is a bottle of L'eau d'Issey and Burberry London? Been only up to date with online prices like in Amazon, but doubt of buying from them sometimes because it might be fake. Department stores should be genuine |

QUOTE(Astroboy22 @ Feb 26 2013, 03:23 PM) I'm not too sure... but since they are our local retail store and easily accessible, why don't you go ard checking on the price of the frags you like? Yea I would, but just want to ask here first. It's been a long time I have seen frags at department stores though. Where would the Burberry and L'eau d'Issey be? Do these two perfumes have their own brand counters? Usually at the women's floor, not the men's right? |

QUOTE(kelthuzad @ Feb 27 2013, 02:10 AM) Can't I ask such a question? If you are familiar with something, doesn't mean everyone is familiar with it too. I have never bought perfumes from department stores before, so is it wrong to ask something first before going there? I know I can check it out myself, but I couldn't ask here first, could I? Why, what do you lose if I ask that here? Your money?QUOTE(ShinKen @ Feb 27 2013, 08:23 AM) Dear Bro Andy, Let's just say I don't go often to shopping malls. And yes I have watched it, quite long time ago. What's that got to do with what I'm asking?with all due respect... 1. where do you live, Somalia? 2. have you watched the YouTube video I recommended to you? |
