okay. since you've got quite a collection, what do you think of Dior Homme Intense? does it gives out a really feminine vibe? I only sampled it out. have yet to purchase it to test it out in the long run. short run test : smells like a feminine perfume with that vanilla scheme going on.
yet, on YouTube, it is so hyped out as being 'sexy' and most suitable for dating. I just don't get it

true. but if we wore it on a date, the climate usually would not be an issue as dating most of the time (not all the time) takes place at night or in shopping malls where climate is much of a big factor to not go with winter/ cold climate scents. just my perspective though

LOL. Dior Homme Intenese is found everywhere here in Malaysia. lucky for us Dior Homme Intense, Sephora sells them RM 303 for 100ml EDP.
but I would suggest you to buy them from Departmental Stores counters as you can try your luck on free samples. if you can't get the samples, get the girl!

I LOVE SUNDAYS! everywhere is so crowded so I took the opportunity to sneak my way to Sephora and gave 4 fragrances a try.

Paco Rabanne : Black XS
John Varvatos : Vintage
Dior : Homme Intense
Givenchy : Play Intense

from this list, you can already tell I'm looking for a night-out or dating scent. a loud one. hehe. minus John Varvatos's Vintage.

I lOVED Paco Rabanne's 1 Million. but when I sniffed out Black XS, I hated it (sorry fans. but I have to be as harsh as the perfume was to my taste). both 1 Million & Black XS gave out a loud synthetic smelling vibe. but, I LOVED 1 Million yet I HATED Black XS. big time.
Black XS smells so strawberry-ish like a strawberry flavoured bubble gum chewed in a mouth then spat out. and yeah. haha. even after 8 hours, it still smells like that plasticky strawberry. yucks! my strawberry body wash from BodyShop smells better. I am only 19 years old, yet I can't take this fragrances. sigh.

John Varvatos's Vintage is love I get a kaleidoscope like scent where it was balanced. the citrus + woods + boozy scent were all like mixed in equally. I got hella nice experience with it. might replace my Lalique White with this one, DEFINITELY! makes a good signature scent. 3 hours + 5 hours being close to the skin. went in the shower (did not scrub the part I sprayed it on though), got out and there's a subtle touch of it left. really good. nice la

Givenchy Play Intense. oh boy. I think its opening was somewhat fruity or citrus. I wasn't sure. but just give the opening about 20 minutes or so then it came out creamy but with added a soft touch of spice. damn nice! i read the back of the tester bottle. says tonka is in there. however the tonka is different that I get from Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme and Thierry Mugler's A*Men.
but then, I tested Dior Homme Intense...........(for the 2nd time to try to get kelthuzad's point on it being sexy)

and.......kelthuzad was right! Dior Homme Intense is sexy. from a certain point of view, it is. haha. it's got DNA from Dior Homme (known as makeup juice in a bottle) with added a heavy dosage of vanilla. that is what I detected. so, it's is sorta unique and sophisticated where is smells like a women's fragrance due to the vanilla yet it smells it was made for man as the DNA from Dior Homme was pretty dominating. it's like Dior Homme is having a world war with vanilla. both trying to get the centre stage! hahahaha

both Dior Homme Intense and Givenchy Play Intense are marathon trolls in longevity. but what was weird to me is that, Dior Homme Intense's soft powdery scent gave out a greater projection that Givenchy Play Intense's creamy-spice did. oh well. both last good for more than 8 hours.

presentation wise, Dior Homme Intense gets the throne. I remember going shopping with my mom (she got me a bottle last time but it wasn't from Dior) and she said "wow! why does the bottle look so sexy compared to the others (referring to Guerlain's Homme EDP, Paco Rabanne's 1 Million, Channel Allures) that you showed me? " haha.
Givenchy Play Intense's presentation just does not look classy and sexy as Dior's bottle do. looks kidstuff lol.


I am now starting to appreciate the fragrances by Dior. slowly. presentation is sexy. juice is fantastic (referring to Homme line and Fahrenheit).

I tried out EDT Pour Homme. okay. neither love nor hate.
then I sniffed out Eau des Baux. my God! it was LOVE!!!!!!!! they say it smells like Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille. I cannot justify that as I have not snif out Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille as my wallet restricts it
really nice. people like me who enjoys Thierry Mugler's A*Men, Dior Homme Intense, Givenchy Pi, Channel Allure Homme and Burberry London will LOVE this Eau des Baux by L'Occitane en Provence by a sniff. love at first sniff for me! and I know I will never get bored with the vibe it gives out

YES YOU CAN I was at L'Occitane en Provence KLCC outlet.
"it's a men's fragrance." tell the S.A that. my S.A had a hard time locating it for me. but since there were only 2 fragrances which were EDT Pour Homme and Eau des Baux and Eau des Baux is the one that is not in blue bottled, only then did the S.A found it. haha

fahrenheit absolute? sure! I definitely might. in 2013. ending with 2012 with something DHI-ish.

yeah, I did hear John Varvotos's longevity is an issue from the FraggComm. but JV Vintage last 8 hours ++ on my skin. however, it was very very close to the skin though. nice replacement for L'eau D'Issey Pour Homme and Lalique White.

haha. sorry man. but Eau des Baux is really good AND AFFORDABLY PRICED if I remember correctly, it is RM 194 for 100ml. who can beat that? that's like RM 50++ more than BodyShop's fragrance line only of a much much much superior quality and blend

if you're wondering about longevity (because a big majority of people who just started out on fragrance would ask "is it long lasting?" hahaha), it got more than an 8 hours. but it was sorta close to the skin.
