QUOTE(wazzapp @ Aug 13 2011, 01:19 PM) mustaffa sgpore...be reaaaaally carefull... hello brocos we got email from mustaffa ex worker saying most lucky plaza shop, chinatown, mutaffa, mix their pfume from dubai n china. mustafa, lucky plaza,chinatown,jasina.. is as good as they goes, main reason why they are discounted is primary because they do parallel imports.. another reason is because they sell perfume that is considered as ex stock by primary disti like l#xasia..you will be suprise some perfume still has the disti/expiry stickers on it.. i suggest to do your homework first before shopping there, i.e test in retail first, before getting there.. and try to ignore brands like chanel and dior as the price is not much difference comparing to retail.. because chanel and all holds their price too tight, if its too cheap, there must be something wrong in it.. example recently launched, boss different, its all over lucky plaza, and it smells and last just like in retail, pricing wise is 30 percent cheaper..has the same disti sticker and wrapping is all the same..and unopened. i wouldnt suggest the same in petaling street and pasar malam in singapore or online shopping i.e ebay.. as i think big retailers in lucky plaza and mustafa cant afford to deal with the law if they are caught with counterfeiting goods in singapore.. |

QUOTE(wazzapp @ Aug 13 2011, 08:58 PM) yaa..too bad for those who has no knowledge to distinguish between the ori and the fake..bcos they are so alike.. the chances of getting fakes online is even higher and you may have no one to take into accountable as comparing to mustafa and bigger retails in lucky plaza...gotta check the wrapping, weight of the cap, the bottle finishing quality, the wording/sentence they use..phew..only easier if u have the ori one to compare. no wonder many of my customer regret buying from there.. i assume its true about the mixing - maybe 1st row at the display is ori, 2nd row not ori and so on.. it doesnt make sense to have first row ori, 2nd row not ori... i am not protecting their branding but i am not sure where your cust. is getting it at. we are talking about singapore le.. this is like place of no.1 complain king in the SEA reigon.. and once you are proven of something, the news here doesnt protect you, it will show your shop, your name, your picture.. |

QUOTE(bugb34r @ Aug 14 2011, 05:20 PM) The new one works well on my skin. The longevity is great, just lack of projection. As Fahrenheit needs intense body heat to project well. the reformulation differences is primary the top opening "gasoline" smell that everyone find it annoying..apart from that, not much difference...YSL reformulation differences is the agarwood scent..and the musky civet-y smell Frederic malle musc raveguer reformulation is also the civet-y smell.. |

QUOTE(Stuffi @ Sep 15 2011, 10:18 AM) Will he come by himself? O.O MFK products is carried by essential, which is part of luxasia..Err.. It says it's the first official counter in Asia. Maybe those you tested in Singapore were imported by perfumery shop retailers themselves. same for serge lutens, creed, penhaligons etc etc.. 2 of my fav from MFK is noire & APOMM femme |

QUOTE(Joey-kun @ Oct 11 2011, 09:27 AM) you could try your luck at perfume shops like justparfum but you can also get it thru ebay or through basenotes. depends on your taste and liking, some ppl do dig the after reformulation, dont listen to the "the vintage is much better" hype. its gonna dig into you and stop you from enjoying scents as it is. we shall take into example of Dior Homme, why do some ppl make a big fuss out of it? given an example that you had tasted real shark fin and you r lovin it..then all of sudden you find they have replaced with vege shark fin and denied that they had made any swap and everything is as authentic as it is and the cost per bowl shark fin is the same, would you be pissed off? alot of ppl would not know the true difference between vege shark fin and real shark fin..as some had started to eat vege shark fin to begin with.. my latest dior homme haul before all hyped out, i was at the duty free, saw the ala famous , silver stem tester, its a brand new one..as far as i can tell from the juice level and bottle texture.. so i brought it thinking it was the silver stem, went for my trip, went home.. open it up to find its the black stem, i did a comparison between both two.. for untrained nose, it may smell the same, but to me, because i have both side by side.. pre and post.. i find the black stem, to have lesser lip stink notes, sweeter, in terms of sillage is much lesser as compared to the vintage one.. longevity, the black stem is a hit or miss, means sometimes its great, sometimes its not, works better in cooler enviroment(air cond) |

QUOTE(davkong @ Oct 21 2011, 01:31 PM) Yeah.. i have been collecting my air miles and exhanging them for the vouchers only.. so far i have bought Dia and Memoir using the vouchers. hi dav,I have Reflection tester 50ml.. between this and Memoir, i prefer Memoir. On me, Memoir smells green and ashy/ smokey at the same time, definitely not the kind of fresh spring/ summer fragrance. I don't quite like how the top notes smell on me, but the ashy drydown is amazing! I think it will be real nice to wear this in a colder climate and when snuggling with your loved one, lol. It conjures an image of a mysterious and lonely traveller.. Reflection smells sweeter and peppery. Somehow its smell makes me feel "happy" as if i am anticipating a trip to somewhere. Dia is a real classy one, if one day i am a boss of my own i will wear this everyday. Now i am just content on wearing Dia to interviews for good impression, lol. I am also lucky enough to buy Amouage Homage attar at 300 bucks as the original owner decided to sell it and it was still almost a bottle full (12ml). Original price is 270 euro! The deal is enough to make me buy it blindly. The smell is heavenly sure (if you like roses and frankincense), but i couldn't think of any suitable occasions to wear this.. so once in a while i just put it on during the weekend when relaxing at home and enjoy the wonderful fragrance. i find memoir man to be more of a powdery smoke with sandalwoodish scent, a close relation to tamdao by diptyque.. its really a nice scent to be snuggling with..longevity is way better than tam dao.. |
