having said that ,its very difficult to say for sure who will win
unlike world cup, u still have a fair odds on who is favorites
all the teams in copa america, seems fairly strong
the underdogs all also kuat
watch them play against one another during friendlies and such
ull nv have a 1 sided scoreline,
always different and unpredictable

one thing is for sure, its best to avoid betting in this sort of tournament
for sure heart attack, laugh.gif

the most i like about this tournament, every games had potential to be an exciting /open game /attacking game. even game between 2 poorest participants. Euro are superior tournament, but numbers of games will be tight /dull /defensive.

the most i hate about it, the games will be in morning (not checking the Astro yet, but i assume between 5am -9am). i love it when im still in Uni, not now..

I root for Uruguay. They overachieved in the World Cup. Surely there should be a trinkle effect on this competition.

I think this will be the best time for messi to achieve something in country level which argentina have yet to achieve so far.

looking at all of the 3 groups. Argentina seems like have no problem in clinching top spot, while Brazil group a bit tricky, with both Paraguay & Ecuador but Venezuela can't be underestimated still, though

Group 3 clearly the group of death. Any team in this group can beat each other at any day. But i reckon Uruguay & Chile to advance @ fight for the top spot

only watched Argentina's game half (1st half) yesterday. Messi is the spark of their lively attack. glad about the result (1-1)

im not the supporter of the 2 usual suspects (Brazil & Argentina).. hopefully the rest can step up and 1 of Chile, Uruguay or Ecuador can win it..

Such disappointing with argentina performance.....It seems like the coach still couldn't find the right balanced of the team....Every1 over relying on messi alone..tevez is the most disappointing....I hope the coach will do something about the formation in the second game...

for me, as always I prefer aguero more than tevez and also dimaria in the starting line up.....while I still wonder when will the coach start using pastore in midfield....they need him as a playmaker in midfield so that messi dun need always to drop deep to collect the ball...... cool.gif cool.gif

Ya I also wonder about Pastore. I think Banega's role during last match is more suited to Pastore. But Batista has tried Pastore in his tactic before during friendlies right? Did he perform any better than what Banega showed? hmm.gif

(The coach did affirm that he talked to Barcelona phenomenon Messi after the game, and counselled him that he had to stay further up the pitch in order to perform his centre-forward role. "I was seeing Lionel the wrong side of the halfway line, and that cannot happen. He has to play in the last quarter of the pitch, there cannot be midfielders ahead of Messi," he admitted.)

source--> http://www.goal.com/en/news/585/argentina/...t-stay-up-front

It's unbelievable man!!
Batista is here for 1 year and it's only now tat he notices tat Messi comes too deep in midfield?!?LOL?
I thought Messi was doing tat on purpose and following Batista instructions??

Ok, so Batista knw that Messi must be in the last quarter of the pitch, but then HOW?!? If there is no ball supply, should he just stay static there?? If you notice the problem, Mr. Batista, why don't you provide him with the attacking midfielder we have in da team, i.e. Pastore? And then you said no midfielders should be ahead of Messi, then what was Cambiasso doing? He became our no 9 without your instruction?

I'm also disappointed that Aguero won't start the game. We'll stay with Tevez-Messi-Lavezzi. I dunno what contribution in the last game Tevez made for him to be included in the squad.yeah tevez is the most disappointing smile.gif

Batista is out of his mind, lost and he doesn't know what he's doing !
and apparently we have a wonderful coach. Hilarious LOL!! -.-"

One f the best penalty shootouts i have ever seen from Uruguay. Last 2spotkicks dasyatlo. No chance of saving tat kind of penalties. Under pressure sumore. I think the Uruguayans actually practiced penalty kicks before the match.

he is the best player in the world, no doubt.. but he still need a very good midfielders behind him.. its team game after all.. i love the result, never like Argentina much.. red card to Mascherano indeed harsh, but i never like him, so im OK with it..

they probably have bunch of very good midfielders, most with 20-50 mil GBP price tags. very promising, but failed to live up the hypes.

Chile vs Brazil will be nice final, but they probably meet in semi.. so im root Uruguay vs Chile.

Brazil lost penalty 0-2 against Paraguay

It seems their studs betray their legs because none of Brazil player manages to score laugh.gif

Venezuela won 2-1

Paraguay, Venezuela, Uruguay, Peru.... i think Uruguay are heavy favourite...but seeing the case of both Argentina & Brazil...anything can happen

Something wrong with the pitch, like bump or something. You can see they're kicking the ground along with the ball, so much sand. Or Brazilian player purposely done that.

2nd semi-final: paraguay beat venezuela 5-3 in penalty shoot-out.

if paraguay can hold uruguay for 120 minutes and defeat them in penalty shoot-out, maybe they will be the 1st team to win a title without winning even one game
