Please share this out, do not engage him for renovation!!!
While I sympathize with your problem but really u should take some responsibility yourself. You didn't know why your car porch is leaking and replaced the gutter. After replaced didn't check if leak still there and paid? On the ugly position of the pipe you should have agreed how it was to be done BEFORE even the work is done.
Lastly whether he is using easy wash paint or not you should have confirmed what brand he is using before work is done.
I am sorry ... to an extent you are doing this to yourself. I would never let my contractors to roam free with renovations only to discover the work is poorly done
