For those who say R35>lembu. R35 is a sports car.
Lamborghini is an exotics, where speed is not the only point of owning one. It comes with flair, beauty, soul, the way it drives and how it sounds. Lamborghini engineers even go the extra mile to built in extra valves just to make the engine sound fcking nice. while R35 sound like hoover vacuum. Also you'll get invited to sponsored supercar gathering while r35 nada. after all, it's just a very fast sports car. |

QUOTE(dawghause @ Jun 20 2011, 02:04 PM) Well since nobody will give a flying f*** to this question, I shall just entertain myself and answer it. The rear engine layout is easier to maintain and assemble, but that is besides the point. Ferdinand Porsche put the engine in the back in the 911 because when you accelerate your car's weight transfers to the rear, so with the engine hanging over the rear wheels, it presses more weight thus giving you better traction and better acceleration. As such when driving a 911 you can get on the accelerator much much earlier when coming out of the bend than you would in a normal car or supercar, and use the weight in the rear to press down on the road and slingshot you out of the corner. ini mmg true petrolhead punya answer. kudos! QUOTE(scyap @ Jun 20 2011, 02:35 PM) porsche spent decades to master the handling with such weight distribution, they even tried stuffing lead in the front to balance it out. they were only successful starting with 996(no doubt with fancy suspension techs we have now). putting the engine in the middle is so much better and easier. you cant expect to put long v8 in the back end. |
