QUOTE(wan arif @ Jun 26 2011, 11:26 PM)
Problem 1: Knocking sound when cornering on uneven surface coming from Front RHS
Causes:  This is due to the power steering fluid delivery piping knocking against the metal pipe and the body underneath it as the uneven road causes it to twitch up and down.
OLD Pipe (left) vs New Pipe (right)
[attachmentid=1911676][attachmentid=1911677]

Solution: Proceed to Proton SC to claim warranty for Power Steering fluid assembly. Claims are FOC, including the power steering fluid.
Parts list they will change for this new power steering assembly.
1)Tube B - PW828913N
2)Tube A - PW828914N
3)Hose Return - PW828915N
4)Rubber Hose - PW820961
5)Clip Pressure - PW820962
6)Orifice Valve - PW895228

my PE have this problem..
the rocemended SC (world car care sdn.bhd)can easily settle this matter? without any excuse such as ask for payment or excuse....tq
*
i noticed that it will solved the issue after upgraded the power steering assembly, but it won't last long, the knocking sound will come back after 3-4 months time. i'm not sure whether due to the rubber hose for the piping degrade or not. anyone of u having the same behaviour?

Hi, noob. icon_rolleyes.gif JK only.
The auto button must pressed down until it click.
After that, it will auto lower the window itself.

For window auto, just press the button lower to the bottom until you hear or feel a click, it will go auto. No auto up tho.

The sound of window, you did not mention what sound, knocking, creaking, windsound, etc. So many possible cause.

3 days already speed kah...should not go over 100km/h for 1st 1K to run in the engine.

Thanks for the valuable feedback.

Since MT is high rev anyway, it could be said that 4-1 setup is the way to go. How about FC once I installed it? Could it be better or just the same?

Another question, I already installed Works air filter. I was wondering whether installing an open air filter would improve performance and FC even further.

Everything still new mah....even human if never run, ask to suddenly run, sure kena muscle strain wan. All your car mechanical comp still new. Give it some time before running it fast.

Some more there's metal particles left in engine after manufacturing. High speed, oil get thinner...not so good for those particles vs piston (I only guessing here). Wait till change oil at 1K only run at high rpm.

As for possible damage if did not do run in......depends on luck. Likely nothing happen to your piston wall but it just increase chances of possible damage or faster wear and tear (might not see it now until years later). Don't worry too much since its done.

Lots of owners just run it as usual since most modern engine have very good production tolerance level compared with engine of old....

That is the problem with Campro engine. Its a modern engine but don't know if Proton follow the latest high tolerance way of production or more celup wan...not much confidence in their built quality. For jap and conti cars, definitely no such issue arise nowadays due to their proven high tolerance production value.

That meter can give you an estimate but not accurate enuf to rely totally on it. Its best to do it the manual way. Fill tank to full and reset trip meter. Run till next refill. Note down mileage and filled FULL tank. Then divide mileage by fueled filled by liter.

Ie. 340km trip / 30.4 liter (full tank filled) = 11.18km/l

Even that is not very accurate as sometimes we used more petrol....but somehow mileage still low then on next refill suddenly use little petrol but can go higher mileage. Do the refill calc a few times in a row and then average them out. THAT will be accurate.

I like using the mileage left countdown meter. Countdown from 550km to 0 (means petrol empty). Not very accurate but can give you and estimate especially if you're running low on gas.

open pod air filter sure better but you must install the open air filter box together wiht the CAI, if not the enigne will suck in the hot air under the hood, it is not good and will degrade the performance.

It makes stealing ur car easier too, no? =) I'm sure there is someway to duplicate that keypad. So there are 2 ways now, either they duplicate that keypad, or they pick ur pocket.

And it's also gonna just be like this:

Don't even need to take out remote to steal ur car. Just pick ur pocket/duplicate ur keypad, walk near ur car, open door, push start & go! laugh.gif
*
It's the same carrying with the keys. Well, if one steal your keys they can drive your car away too, no??

Don't tell stupid things here telling how people steal the keypad can drive away with the car. If one steal your key & remote, can't they do the same thing?? Duplicate the keypad, why not you try to duplicate first before you start to talk?

I can duplicate your remote & transponder too, no?

The siren sound is adjustable to siren or melody, which i think the tune is similar to our stock digital siren.

Sometimes it's better not to make a statement that will make yourself look like a fool.

LOL, I was thinking the same thing too!  doh.gif
Easier to steal..they don;t even need to press the alarm to determine where is the car..just walk pass every single car till a car automatically opens haha  whistling.gif
*
Easier to steal? The doors itself doesn't unlock if it's not close within the proximity, still better compare to your remote. Your remote work in a range of how many meter, for like 10 meter huh?

Tighten the wiper nut, it is probably loose. Try taking the wiper to work at full speed, and see if it hits on your A-pillar or not. If it does, adjust the wiper and tighten the nut. If you don't know what you're doing, send back to SC to get the job done.

Keyless entry....how abt when you're beside your car but talking to ppl. Want to keep the car lock coz your notebook or bag (woman's) is in front seat while your talking beside your car.

How abt pumping petrol. I ALWAYS lock my car esp if there's valuable or bags in car, while pumping petrol...if it remains unlock coz you're next to it...
