Ok guys, not to be demotivating here, but we're talking about ways to secure a plus minus RM 50k car. True, Proton cars are high on the thieves' list as one of the most sought after cars for their parts, but I still don't see why should we be more worried for our cars. Yes, some people may think that prevention is better than cure, but I think personal safety is way more important here. Especially for lady drivers, they did all they can to prevent their car & valuables from being stolen but risk themselves getting raped or even murdered.

My advice is, no matter what alarm system u're using, keep it short, simple & doesn't trouble you when emergency comes. Even expensive cars are still using the same alarm system as ours, (passcode keyless entry for Mercedes S-class, but thats about it. Inside, it's conventional immobiliser and autolock.). My 2 cents.

There is an immobiliser in the black cover. That's why you can't start the car.

correct at Germany BMW is their Perodua ; Mercerdese is their Proton use for Taxi, yes they still got Japs and Korean car but most are for youngster or new driver or company service car, those foctory General worker driving Mini cope; can see alot of BMW and MERC on the road it was POLIZE, VW alos very farmose for conpany car. Car for them is so chep you see the way they do side parking all just drive over the road side divier and leave the car on unevent, no one care.

No need change ECU.. Just have to activate the ABS in the ECU.. The brake pump have to change cos our stock PE B/M line ones are using Saga 1.3 brake pump. H-line using Gen2 1.6 brake pump. The dash board indicators are already there, it's just a wire to plug into the ECU. The ABS & EBD module, yes, that's the 1 that costs a lot. Around RM 1k+ if I'm not mistaken.

to be exact is 2 days...perhaps will buy honda city
im not disappointed wif proton cars but the after sales service
so yea...IF GOT FULL REFUND,i will change car.if they willing to compensate new car...then continue drive lor...

lol. agreed with you. in which right mind would a company say such things right? only proton will say such thing because they thought that us malaysian are dependent on them.
