I agree with ceo684. Furthermore, the attitude of the US people are more aggressive and 'in your face', are you sure you can withstand the insults and supremacy attitude that you might encounter? If the comments here are already hurting you, some of the people there are more insensitive and blunt, and they really know how to attack other people self esteem. (This is based on my observation while backpacking and my expat friends here)

I could recommend some people who do healing works (not the magic hocus pocus stuff) but rather using some techniques (such as Ho'oponopono, Releasing, Law of Attraction). Coincidentally they are from the US, who decided to settle down here. Personally my mindset have changed a lot and I have grown into a stronger and more independent person after meeting them. It is amazing at how shifting your perspective can change your whole outlook of the world.

If i'm not mistaken the working holidays for NZ has been frozen (if not mistaken someone mentioned up there). You'll have to check again.

Added on June 21, 2011, 2:02 pmOh btw, if you're still hellbent on migrating.. my friend works in Guangzhou as an English teacher. It's much cheaper there. I could put you in contact with her, too. But I'd rather you work from inside first, rather than running away.

This is interesting. Do they employ Malaysians to teach English too? I would like to take a gap year to China ...
How did your friend do it?
