This is why the 6001tx is still the best. The intel HD3000 is so powerful that you can game on it with nearly all settings on max in Race Driver GRID.....and when you really want crazy graphics, just use a shorcut key and the graphics card comes on, so 0 issues.

Look at all the problems the 61xx people are having, such bullshit. Auto switching never works. And  before you blame AMD/ATi, even Nvidia has problems with Optimus.

The best? Manual switching!!!!

Conlusion = no worth to upgrade unless u have problem with 11.5b

Yes, recovery DVD works on new HDD/SSD. I changed my stock HDD to 160gb intel SSD, ran recovery dvd and choose factory reset. The recovery completely formatted my ssd and installed everything including made a partition for recovery on the new ssd. The laptop is as newly bought dv6 after the process..

With ssd, everything seems instantaneous when i do anything..

acid.. did u tried 11.7? i get temp for cpu less than 70°C as gpu also as usual.. play ssf4 & pes11 works fine but i feel the quality drop (not sure)
sc2 i get 30-35 fps for medium setting & shadow off.. quite weird & re5 i will do some test late a bit.. enable A.I catalyst already.
