i feel ur frustration. me too. ordered on 8th of June, and from the order status, I only see my printer is ready. everything else date to order 

i would have opt for retail purchase if i knew it would be like this.

Limitations:
The destination partition must be equal or larger than the source one.

If you take the path of actually cloning your existing hard drive's partition(s) over to the new SSD, you need to ensure you set the cloning software application, in our case it was Clonezilla, to resize the new partition on the target drive to size of the SSD.  Norton Ghost from Symantec has this setting selected by default but in the screen shots above, you can see how to set it up with Clonezilla.  Also, if your new SSD is actually smaller than the old hard drive, Clonezilla won't let you map the partition over, even if the data area is smaller.  In this case, Norton Ghost works a bit better and is in general a bit more elegant to work with.

I know is 5 minutes job...but i was told by HP customer Service warranty be void if replaced the current hard disk with SSD.I know once u installed SSD on DV6001TX will be brilliant. Btw how long is ur warranty period for notebook?

Hmm...I am a dv6 user (future) and there is one thing really bothering me right now is:
I've ordered the HP dv6-6148x (package with headphone) on 14/6/2011, and the status order for today is (Production), it appears the plan ship date is 26 September 2011 and delivery date is 30-Sep-2011...damn~!!! Izzit a normal thing for HP to take so long time to get everyone's orders done? or I'm in a special case.?

Of course plug out, because laptop will generate heats which may harming your battery if plug in.
