there used to be the cougar point sata problem in the older models. if the serial number is xxx108xxx or higher , there is no problem.

i have a dv6-6011tx, and its resolution is 1366x768. so it doesnt support full HD movies right?
im going to buy a 32" LED tv. and theres two models 720p and 1080p. if i buy a full hd 1080p tv would i be able to watch full hd movies through hdmi?
or is there no point in buying the full hd tv ?

hi, i used the Windows Performance Toolkit and ran the code xbootmgr -trace boot -prepSystem -verboseReadyBoot on the CMD.
there were some files made by it in the C:\Users\HP folder.

boot_BASE+CSWITCH_1 - two files winrar and performance analyzer tracer file
bootPrep_BASE+CSWITCH_1 - two files winrar and performance analyzer tracer file
etc.....

and a xbootmgr text document

is it ok if i delete them?

is it ok to switch graphics regularly?

is it ok to keep the cool sense setting to coolest mode forever?

is it ok to keep 6770M running forever with hp cool sense coolest mode?

after installing 11.6 it asked me to reboot.
got stuck twice at the start up after rebboting then i went to the repair mode and it got stuck too lol.

nw ok though.

yes i installed it from there. nw its working and shows 11.6
but got stuck at windows load twice.

has anyone noticed that if we have a pen drive plugged into the 3.0 ports ( left hand side) windows startup gets stuck.
and help me to delay kaspersky at startup. i want to delay it like 1 minute after startup.

did anyone notice that when the screen is off ( connected to external monitor/ after screen saver screen turns off) u can see a small yellow light on the screen just behind the illuminated hp logo. is this normal?

i cant change the screen brightness on ubunut 10.10, i installed the ati driver which ubuntu recommended.

is it ok to run my dv6 with full brightness?

is it bad for the fans to work all the time, i have set the cool sense setting to coolest mode and the fans are running 80% of the time at full-speed when im playing a game like assassin's creed.

can you share the link to 11.7

i think that's normal, mine also hits max 93C after an hour of crysis 2. but on hardcore and my desk fan running across the dv6.

there is a option in catalyst control center for software update, and it shows 11.7 is available. can't i update using that?
