Well, It has been so long since i faxed in my carepack, and nothing changed, then they asked me to email it to them.

I did and i received a few emails about thank you for registering and what not, but when i check my warranty status online, it still shows until 2012 only.

What should I do?

I never received any care pack registration form from them but the last time I checked, my warranty last till 2014. It was added 3-4 weeks after I received my laptop.
The only thing I do is register my laptop online.

For online purchases, no physical carepack registration form will be sent. The carepack will be automatically registered within 14 working days of invoice. Make sure the invoice states the Car epack in the line item.

For retail purchase, the physical carepack registration form need to be email/fax to the stated address/fax #. Keep the hard copy for reference. As per above, the carepack will be registered within 14 working days.

Hey can I get my mousepad buttons fixed?

The buttons are "protruding" at the middle part between the left and right mouse button. Other units I tested did not have "protruding" buttons.

It's not that much of a problem, but I just thought I wanted to have it finished nicely.

I just uninstalled it yesterday.
Neat apps, but doesn't seem to really improve my boot time.

Soluto will give u an indepth analysis of your boot and show some option to decrease the boot time.

I don't think that is possible.

why my boottimer cant count the boot time? after i run the app. it ask me to reboot, after i reboot ntg come out, im runing as admin. can the newest rocket dock be used in windows 7 62bit? i read the dl page, and it say hant support 62bit yet. im currently using bootracer to trace my boot time, it is very unstable, sometimes 1min plus sometimes 40secs, why is this so??

I have no problem running Rocketdock in Win7 64.
Try to defrag with 'Defrag & Optimize' options in Auslogics DiskDefrag.

Did you run the "xbootmgr -trace boot -prepSystem -verboseReadyBoot" command? If yes, can u locate the file created usually located at "C:\Users\<username>\"?
The filename is "bootPrep_BASE+CSWITCH_*.etl"

will installing dock my the laptop lag??? can i delete all the bootfiles?? there are 6 of them.

when u guys play games, u guys set to coolsense?? playing under aircond room?? could it be my laptop is a faulty unit, i feel that my laptop has temp problem.

I did scan and fax to them. And a while later HP sent a few emails about thank you for purchasing and what not. But when I check online I still see my warranty is until 2012 only. My HP support assistant says the same thing.

I hav a problem here.....I owned my dv 6 6114 last 2 weeks...
It was run well for 2 days n the problem occur..
When I start up it..it stucked at the Windows starting screen ..or showed .the blue screen with something bad system error....I tried start it safe mode but can't...I hav no choice but dis the system recovery n lost everything...
I thought it was be ok after I used it nice in 2 days...but it came again 2nd time n now 3rd time...I do not install any software that will affect my laptop as its was ok for my Fren install the same software in same model...I Juz changed my processor use into 8 n max RAM in msconfig...is there any problem or solution here? Help pls...

As I checked by Google....bad system info error was in msconfig problem...

Try take out 1 ram and see if problem persist. Can enter safe mode?

What setting in msconfig u changed?

msconfig>boot>advanced option>no. of processor into 8 n max RAM.........is that affect anything???

Your CCC looks good to me. RocketDock didn't make my Windows lag at all. You can hide your desktop, no need to delete it.

Yes u can delete the boot files but before that can u run this 2 code from command and attach the 2 files here?
