Is it normal that my dv6-6114tx has more than 100 processes running?

It's also taking more than 2 minutes to boot...

It happened to me using more than 2mins to boot, when after I installed the Core Temp software.
After removed Core Temp, boot time back to 46~51secs....I've tried install & uninstall twice to confirm.

There is quite useful china made FREEware antivirus/antispyware/system optimizer called 360safe...it can help to improved boot time too & show your boot time every start up. you can go to www.360.cn to download it. (Only Chinese character language software).

I think you should PM kevinsim, since his DV6 had already replaced with the Intel SSD, I think he might has some knowledge on SSD. By the way, really looking forward from you whether the DVD recovery can format with the new SSD with all the drivers and application installed like what it had in the default HDD.

Alright, will ask him later. Thanks for info..

Acid: please add me to owner list. thanks. smile.gif

He slides out his CD drive, does that mean the 6001 users can use the 61xx drives?

Hey everyone, should I send my warranty card for Beats headphones to Singapore? Will I get covered by the warranty since I'm in Malaysia.

Also, which of the following programs can be safely uninstalled:

- Energy Star Digital Logo
- ESU for Microsoft Windows 7
- HP 3D DriveGuard
- HP Connection Manager
- HP Documentation
- HP On Screen Display
- HP Power Manager
- HP Quick Launch
- HP Setup
- HP Setup Manager
- HP Software Framework
- HP Support Assistant
- IDT Audio
- Intel® Display Audio Driver
- Intel® Management Engine Components
- Intel® Rapid Storage Technology
- Validity WBF DDK

First thing I did was to create the recovery discs so I think I'm safe to mess up my computer since I can restore it, correct?

Anyway, why is there 88 processes (I removed some) running on my laptop? And why is it taking more than 1 minute 30 seconds to boot my computer? Sometimes it lags too. It shouldn't do that, it's a new computer. ==

download ccleaner, then look for the option to disable some startup programs. disable some that you think you don't need, and hopefully you should notice a better performance.
