6114 has features which are mostly useless at this point of time and the foreseeable future, a blu-ray drive is useless with a 720p monitor, and by the time 8GB RAM sticks become affordable, there would be much better laptops, maybe even an i9 or whatever.
So yeah, it has more features that are more of a selling point than any useful benefit to end consumers. |

QUOTE(melt @ Aug 3 2011, 08:54 AM) TS please help to update so when I got my DV6 I can update and do the configuration as what Efalex told. The link to the laptop's driver website is already on the 1st page. A link to the driver update will be great Acid will turn FFFFUUUUUUUUUUU if he see this kind of question again QUOTE(rurushu @ Aug 3 2011, 10:43 AM) me too.... but now can already, i think LYN some time sot-sot abit.... Can't wait any longer. Just start the laptop and apply the update. Then do some WEI test to see for improvement...Thanks Efalex for your instructions. Thought you said you got no time to on laptop until weekends? Edit: I also updated my BIOS and enabled the "Fixed" mode just now. Now my dv6-6114tx works like a charm!!!!! Makes me wanna go jumping around and screaming for joy!!! QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Aug 3 2011, 10:29 PM) The link on the BIOS update is wrong...I think you can delete some link to the statement on DV6's graphic problem since it's being solved. |

Hmm if you installed many player your codecs must be a mess... Have you tried uninstalling EVERY codec and player (excluding windows media player)?
After that use cc cleaner or something like that to clear codecs registry. then restart and reinstall MPC. |
