Hey Guys, today i went to the HP service centre (took me ages to reach there even though using GPS

) and i reported to them regarding my dv6-6114tx's overheating issue.
I requested them to reapply the thermal paste for me as suggested by members in this lounge. I managed to get my report to be processed as "express" because the service assistant told me that because my lappy is new (of course it's new!!!! not even 1 month old!!!) so i get the "express" service.
Then after roughly 2 hours, the technician called me and said the GPU fan is "very poor" and he will replace it with new unit....
Then i waited for it to be done and at around 5.12pm, it is done and my receipt there stated they have changed the heat sink and new fans.
I was abit

because i thought my lappy only suffers the high temp while playing crysis 2 is due to the poorly applied thermal paste.... but it turned out to be the heat sink and fans....
Total time consumed to send-in + process + retrieve = around whole day
Started from around 11.30am+ and ended with collection of lappy at around 5.12pm
Now replying this message using my dv6. Going to try Crysis 2 later, will monitor the temps again. Hopefully the overheating issues is over now....
A piece of friendly advice to those who think their new dv6 (regardless of what model) is kinda hot or the temperature is quite "abnormal" or swayed quite far from the members in this lounge, please sent it to HP service centre immediately for inspection. Dont wait because the longer you wait, the more your lappy will suffer. This is just my personal advice, peace everyone
