im confuse about digi phone price vs RRP ..

means get from digi is cheaper than RRP but have to sign contract ?

The way I see it, how the plan works is you buy the 4S online now, then every month you pay for the digi plan. And the amount you pay now is iPhone 4S RRP price minus RM200.

So if you want the 16GB iPhone 4S, you have to pay upfront RM2090, the remainder payments over 24 months is only your plan. Phone sudah bayar habis... so technically, your monthly payments with this plan is very low. From RM55 onwards...

To me this plan is good for ppl who rather pay one lump sum now and later not much commitment left to pay.

Also good for ppl who don't want the phone but want the plan... since the phone is fully paid, can sell to other ppl. haha tongue.gif

Can't dear telco make it clear???????

Just tell me how much need to pay for phone + monthly fees. That's enough!!!

wahaha... it's like that one laa... everytime an iphone is launched also same story. So this is nothing new tongue.gif

Anyway, even though its not very clear. I think for the digi plan u pay upfront phone price as stated there. RM2090 etc etc. Then for next 24 months u pay for plan... RM55 etc etc.

Low monthly commitment lo, if u can pay for phone in full straight away.

i think the whole idea about buying under contract is not to get a cheaper phone, but to get cheap call plan. If you buy the phone from apple, u have to spend so much on just the plan.

For example, smart plan is RM68 only for data. Not even count call and sms. If you take contract you pay RM55 got data, call & sms...

yes, celcom is better in every comparison, no shock bill, good coverage, cheaper.

Has celcom even revealed their plan yet? Where?

Thanks guys, but I dont quite understand how it's cheaper than digi. The plan cost a bit more, the phone cost a bit less. But then there is still upfront commitment to add to the phone price. Digi no upfront payment.

Also, their plan offers less than what is offered by iDiGi 88.

However they offer 3000 minutes calls onnet. Ya their plan costs extra rm8, if the coverage is good i suppose it's better value for money.
*
It's nice that celcom give away stuff that u may never end up using... 3000 minutes on-net but only 50 minutes call to off-net? Come on...

In the end confirm will have to pay more than RM68 per month...

Unlike Maxis, Celcom and Digi throttle the speed if you exceed data limit.

What right does maxis have to throttle ur speed when they charge u for every KB that u exceed? Maxis is the most famous for bill shock.

So will you choose celcom or digi? smile.gif
*
I was long time Celcom customer. Using their Exec 50 package + RM38 broadband.

But for iPhone, I have gone with DiGi 88. Cos I can get the similar stuff I used to get from my Celcom plan, but now only pay RM55 to digi.

Sounds like a good deal to me... smile.gif

xec 50 package = 0.15sen for 333 minutes (on/off)
i68 package = 3000 minutes (on) 50 (off) + Data 800 mb
What is the meaning of offline here?
*
off means off-net. means when u call numbers outside your network. Celcom to Celcom is on-net. Celcom to Digi is off-net.

So looks like once the plan savings is over after the 2 years contract, the monthly will go from 55 to 83. That means Maxis will be cheaper after that unless sign up for another plan/contract.
*
i dont think anyone would continue a plan after contract. tongue.gif

Simply not worth it, better to sign up on another plan, no matter whether u are digi, celcom or maxis contract subscriber tongue.gif

By then also dunno iPhone 5S already la... contract expire also so what? Time for a new phone!!!
