I applied last month and today got a call from UOB.
3 months payslip were not enough, they also need EPF/EA statements. When I told her I don't have EPF statement, she said bank statements for the past 3 months will do.
Problem is my Public Bank NEVER sent me statements and when I checked online banking, statement request is only available for credit/debit card. I sent her transaction history from earliest July to September. The 3 months payslip was from June to August.
Still, she said she will submit them for process and inform me if further documents are needed. Though I will probably just cancel my application if it is going to be more hassle...

Until today, I have not received the CC but yesterday, my company HR received a phone call from UOB bank asking about my job details (how many years have I worked there and also my work attitude). Is this a normal procedure?

Got my CC after a month has passed. Was a bit shocked when I received the letter with the side torned, checked the seal was not broken so should be safe I guess (finger crossed)...
Activated via SMS and just need to sign at the back of the card. Can use any colour ball pen to sign?

I thought it needs to match the one in your application form?
Anyway, I signed and it came out not exactly perfect (went out of column) XD

Indeed, I applied mine on August 24th and received it yesterday. The card states membership is 9/16 (september 16th) though.
@blue_scott: Bank will charge you penalty fee, because they need to earn from interest or tax XD. Just pay after receive statement but before due date.

Not sure about UOB but my sister had a Citibank CC and once she paid in full before receiving statement. Next statement shows a line "financial charges RM1++".
When she called Citibank to inquire about the charges, they told her it was because she paid before statement cut off. My sister gave them the reason was because she had to travel during that time and just thought of settling it early to avoid late charges. Finally they waived the amount due to her good records and asked her to pay by due date after receiving statement.

No idea. It's not like they will increase your CL even if you pay early though.
In my sister's case, Citibank automatically increase the CL without informing her so she ends up spending more sometimes XD...

This happened about 2 years ago, maybe different policy back then? Anyway, I'm not taking any risk in my case

For my case, UOB contacted my company's HR to verify my job status and work attitude. Maybe just to confirm if I'm really working there. Provided last 3 months payslips & bank statements, no EPF statement submitted. Still waiting for PIN to arrive (it's been 2 weeks), should have just gone to nearest bank to get it. Screenshot of One Card Classic (poor guy here XD)

They asked for the bank used for my monthly salary bank in, but I think any savings/current account with sufficient money will do.
The person in charge of processing my application sent me an sms with her email address. I printed out my statements online and sent to her in PDF format.

In other words, we must spend at least RM50 in a single transaction to quality for an automatic entry?

Well, sorry for my level of understanding not being up to standard Back to topic, IMO I think UOB should have set a different minimum amount for each card type. I mean it's kind of unfair if Classic card holders must swipe the same amount as Platinum holders to quality for an entry. Not to mention, they should be rewarding existing cardmembers more instead of prioritizing new applicants.

When I click pay bills in UOB Online, it says I don't have savings/current account with them. There is no pay bills function under Credit Card section. GST is charged when your card is approved, so you have to pay anyway. I received card first before statement and after swiping 3 times, they credit RM50 back to me.

QUOTE(MNet @ Dec 8 2011, 01:01 PM) lol, if you wanna keep your food warm with it, think again. Even the box has a description in Japanese that it keeps the food cold, not warm. I was actually hoping to get thermos flask since mine was broken, instead I got a lunch box that can't keep my food warm. Nice going, UOB!

Did anyone receive UOB's income declaration form?
My annual income is less than 36K and have only 1 CC, so it's not a problem. However, there is a field "I hereby declare that I currently hold credit card (s) from <insert number card issuer (s)". What is UOB's issue number?

lol, my bad. I was confused by the Malay words (sila isikan nombor pengeluar kad), thought I have to write the bank's registration number or something.
