Hey i just got my statement and read the brochure and realized One card gives 5% cash back bonus (everyday) + 5% $mart cash points?

That is better compared to using Amex 5TP + 5% cash back on weekend? Coz this is roughly like 7.5% value where as One card gives 10% ?

Ya that means 5% cash back when i use at any petrol station, and another 2% $mart cash when i use on BHPetrol totaling 7% isnt it?
*
You are right.

Read Smart Rebate for better example.

Found this under FAQ section.

QUOTE
How can I redeem my UOB Smart$ Cash Rebates?
You may redeem them at any of the participating Smart$ merchants when you make your next purchase. Simply present your UOB Credit Card that carries the balance and inform the cashier of your intention to redeem.

QUOTE
What is the validity period for the UOB Smart$ Cash Rebates?
The validity period is 12 months. The expiry is at the end of every quarter, i.e. 31st March, 30th June, 30th September and 31st December upon the expiry of the 12 months period from the transaction date.

What do you guys think, comparing with Esso 1.5% Smile Points?

For Esso SP, have to accumulate 3000points to fully benefit from 1.5% rebate, but Esso SP is evergreen.

wa minimum 3k per year then can waive already? so good.. should have apply for that instead..

Actually i would suggest you to apply for the classic card instead, 12 swipes per year (min 1 per mth) is easier to achieve.

Although you might get lower CL, but again depends how you utilize this card.

Does it look the same without the "Platinum" wording ?
The classic looks exactly the same as the platinum card, just without the word "Platinum"

From the SmartCash Merchant List

QUOTE
For payment(s) at BHPetrol, Smart$ Cash Rebates are awarded for transaction up to a maximum of RM400.00 (Per month per card account) at the cash rebates rate.

This might be able to solve your Smart Cash calculation issue if you pump at BHPetrol, you will only be able to earn maximum RM8 per calendar month.

Hope this helps smile.gif

I just checked my statement online and found that as 2 Dec (today) i received this "cash back rebate" but why now? Isn't it suppose to be at the end of monthly billing cycle? And furthermore it was not accurate...? :S
*
Check your previous month's rebate (not unbilled transaction), it should tally with one of the month.

For me, it was September month missing rebate.

Glad that UOB has sorted the missing rebate problem, now UOB is back to cash rebate for the same month statement (same as MB2K n OCBC Ti)

Quite interested to get this card as a spare card in case my OCBC Titanium and MBB 2 AMEX has reached the RM50 cash rebate limit. Does UOB able to waive the RM50 GST ?
*
UOB was offering "5 years free annual frees + RM88 cash after 3 swipes" when they relaunched the new UOB One card.

So they did waive this year GST, you have to call in to find out if the promotion is still on.

This card is only good for 5% petrol rebate and additional 2% smart cash if u choose BHPetrol.

Mind asking if pay the bill using UOB 1 card at Sushi King, the 10% discount is credited in term of Smart Cash? Am I right?

It won't be deducted from the final amount right?

By the way, does Sushi King charges 10% service charge?

Today's bill is a little confusing!
*
10% is in terms of Smart Cash. Not deducted from final amount. smile.gif

Cant comment on the 10% service charge as I do not have the receipt anymore. Sorry sad.gif
