Not bad, the free AF waiver. Just notice the complimentary access to LCCT PP too. The monthly quota is still 400? Looks like a good alternative to CIMB VS hmm.gif

To have many cards or platinums cards just for the sake of having them dont make much sense, unless each card gives you some return or benefits. Just my point of view. So dont get carried away tongue.gif

Their CS has lack of integrity.

Didn't state in the application form about proof of mailing address. Then, the CS called me to ask to send or fax them a copy of any bill with the mailing address. For that reason, they put my application under "cancelled" status. I was so furious of that and scolded the agent who called me for follow up. Told the agent that I'm no longer interested with the card since I have a concurrent application for Citibank Cash Back Platinum.

David83, you do not own a OCBC Ti right? why the selection of OUB and CT Plat over OCBC Ti? hmm.gif

Finally I received my 1st CC from UOB yesterday.
But I not sure am I get a classic or platinum CC??
Because i get a white colour card with Platinum words on it..
I read that fourmer told that Grey = Platinum and White = Classic?? rclxub.gif

I have some simple question, hope any one can help to answer:  hmm.gif

1.After activate it via SMS,so I can start using after the confirmation SMS??

2. Any thing that I need to apply if I want to purchase something online by using the CC??

3. It seem that I need to go the branch to apply for Online Account and PIN??Am I correct??

Sorry if my questions are noob, because this is my 1st CC.. biggrin.gif

Thanks for the helpers. notworthy.gif

If it is written Platinum, then it is Platinum biggrin.gif and yes, can start using after the confirmation SMS. The rest, let UOB cardholders answer

hi .. i just get my UOB one card... just want to know is there any different between one card classic and one card platinum? looks diff?

how about the credit limit?

i just forgot about what the CS told me which asking me swipe for few times within 3 or not sure how many months in order to get something waived off..

it took me few weeks to received the card until i forgot about what she told me.. >.<
*
refer to the letter that accompany your card. surely it will state something on the credit limit, and whether it is a platinum.

The requirement to waive AF is excessive considering that other banks are offering free for life or lower amounts/swipe. The perks are comparatively lesser as well. Cardholders need to start making noise and relay this to them.

Yeah I realize it after reading through this thread.. but a bit too late >_<
So it is true. Thanks for confirming it.

Also called the customer service, they confirm the RM50 offset for new application. Need to swipe at least 3 times in 60 days period. The offset will be incurred in 6-8 weeks. Only for new application, for consequent years, user can offset it themselves using SMART$ CASH.

Not so happy anymore signing the form yesterday. Can i still cancel the application? (the form still lacking my epf/payslip; but have my IC & my other credit card number, for reference purpose. I already took free gift)
*
Yes, since yesterday is saturday and I dont think they will process your application yet. Also they dont have your income form. if possible, get it in black and white. On the free gift, just return it to them if they want it back haha. What is the free gift by the way? tongue.gif

Cool2. I guess i better talk to the sales guy. Problem registering at fair/exhibition is anything bad happen, i'll require large effort to go back to the site. The free gift was a tumbler. Quite nice, same that u get when registering JCard.
*
If going back to the place is cumbersome, I wonder if you can just do it via phone call.

Another option is, since you have confirmed with the customer service about the RM50 offset with 3 swipes, you can terminate the card once you get the RM50 back. One thing that I am not sure is, when will they charge the annual fee, at the beginning OR after 1 year usage.
