as for buying insurance with credit card, let me tell you this. I bought PA policy thru UOB credit card more than a decade ago. This year decided I may want to cancel the UOB card, so I call the insurer to transfer the premium to another card. the guy gladly took my new card details but within 10 minutes he called me back and say I cannot transfer to premiums to another card since that policy was bought thru UOB!??

Meaning? you need to keep the card or cancel the insurance policy together with the card?

on the 1st post
regarding bhp, it is now change to only 1% smart$ (please update the 1st post)
http://www1.uob.com.my/webpages/SmartCash/pdf/petrol.pdf

so total rebate is only 6%, that that 1% smart$ can only be used when you visit bhp next time

I pump petrol at BHP this afternoon. the amount is rm55. Total smart cash rebate i get is RM1.1. so 1.1/55 = 2% Smart Cash rebate.

UOB really need a proper coordination. Their information in website and information given by CS is really different

andy here, i working at UOB bank one.. about this question, You earning 2% of smart cash at bhp petrol station, and another 5% more cash back will be deducted in your bank statement, not on the receipt one. and the smart cash, after u collect many smart cash, next time you go to bhp petrol station, you can ask the staff to use the smart cash to pump petrol .it can be just use like money.

I was told that for UOB ONE Classic or Platinum card, the annual is waived for 5 years by the CS.

I even got the brochure sent by her to my email. Anyone can confirm this?

Coz she persuaded me to take the platinum card and convince me that there will be no annual fee.
