They did the same convert >1K purchase to 0% 6 months installment in Nov to Dec 2011.
I did convert my insurance payment in Dec last year by calling CS and it was approved within a week. Customer service said no hidden fees and I'll receive SMS from UOB if my request to convert to 0% 6 months is Rejected.
Please take note you must call and make the request before the transaction being billed in the monthly statement.

Add on: There will be penalty RM50 if you settle full payment early than 6 months.

Each card has it owns date, depend on when your card been approved.
Mine is approved by Aug 2011. Thus, the GST and AF will be charge by Aug 2012. tongue.gif

i've just applied UOB credit card through a booth... the sales guy say that 2 years annual fee waived as a promotion... he mentioned different branch have different offer... is that true? cause if need to swipe 60x yearly to have the annual fee waived i might not go ahead with it...
*
Dont worry, just cancell the card after 2yrs usage. Maybe that time will have other more attractive card. biggrin.gif

Then how about the Card Annual Fee? Most banks waive/offset/bear it with sufficient utilisation and/or meeting certain T&C.
And WHAT RULES/LAW? Banks do give rebates/waivers/freebies to "offset" the Service Tax (NOT GST) from time to time, so are you saying that the banks break BNM rules, Mr Moderator?
*
Simple rule,if ur credit card is not zero annual fee, you need to pay it, that's all.
Some may argue annual fee can be waive, but based on B&W rule, you still to pay it if bank do not waive the annual fee for you.

GST= service tax. we are known this very well.
Law stated each card holder need to pay GST annually, then just pay it.
Pls do not misleading ppl for the rebate and waiver for GST.

Marketing gimmick. biggrin.gif
Bank will provide you cash bonus with minimum swipe or transaction amount after use their CC.
You are considering the cash bonus as GST waiver?? brows.gif
Bank is not offering GST waiver.

This case as just like Amex cannot swipe at Petronas...
No answer can be found.
Maybe the petrol station do not accept certain type of cardfor transaction.
