Hi, my item is now being held at kastam for inspection and im worry abuot it. The thing I bought is human anatomy figure for artist/medical purpose, and it is half nude ( pics here http://anatomytools.com/products/anatomy/fig-female2a ). Will kastam rampas my item cuz it is a nude figure?

They are probably just checking, i believe they will give you a call if there is any problem with it. Usually, you just have to pay them the taxes if any.

So this things can usually settle with money? I don't mind paying them extra(not ridiculous amount tho), as long as I can get my item back.

I haven't declare to them what it is and I have no idea what to declare...can I just tell them medical model for reference study? Anyway I'm using it as a reference for my drawing/painting.

Don't think the kastam will confiscated the item. It might get tax though especially if the total value (cost+shipping+insurance) is more than RM 500. But anyway, sometime the kastam officer at KLIA is quite good and will let you pass also. it's really depends on your luck.

Worries aside, just get ur butt there and explain on the necessary of the item and i assure you it will be
exempted frm duties & taxes....., tell them it's for medical (neurology/etc) references.. icon_rolleyes.gif

Thanks guys...i have already retrieved my item and the total tax is 32% including 22% for plastic material .. shocking.gif
