Perhaps you can lend a listening ear to those who feel lonely, depressed or suicidal. To volunteer, please attend our Preview and Interview by appointment.

RECRUITMENT TRAINING
As a volunteer, you have to be at least 21 years old and
commit to a minimum of three hours each week for a year.

There is an RM80 charge for training to cover our costs.
Training will begin *promptly* at 1.00pm – 6.00pm
every Sunday from 3 July – 21 August 2011 at
Cheshire Home, Babington Avenue, Penang
Note: Registration starts at 12.45pm on 3 July

You must attend no fewer than six of the eight sessions and complete 4 months of probation to be accepted into the service.

Befriender Penang will be conducting interviews including a talk on "Suicide Prevention" for interested and potential volunteers on the 19th June from 2pm - 5pm at Penang Cheshire Home
