 tracert, always return request timeout

ISP/package: UNIFI 5
Location: Seri Kembangan
Have you called your ISP's helpline?: not yet

Personal equipment
Modem: standard Unifi 5 and i use lan cable to connect to the internet (instead of wifi)
Router: standard Unifi 5
Firewall used: Kaspersky internet security

Problem details
First occurence of problem: realise today
Problem frequency:
Problem description: whenever i run tracert google.com, or unifi.my or other website, it will return request time out after the first hop and so on.. can anyone help me on this..before i call the isp

Download Pingplotter.com you can do tracert :-) it's freeware

i google and realise that streamyx block tracert..
and now i know.. unifi too..

Yes, TM doesn't block tracert but they block you from doing traceroute. whistling.gif

does they block ping also?

I can't ping to streamyx gateway (219.93.218.177), all return timeout

Most of the time tracert will be blocked by 3rd party website router or even ISP, but usually you could ping 3rd party website domain name or IP address.

I use TraceTCP and it works. Refer to the tutorial from
