QUOTE(JohnLai @ Jul 18 2016, 07:22 PM) -.-? DTT signal is affected by weather? Impossible....cause the broadcasting tower is using C-Band frequency to receive satellite transmission and some tower actually use fiber connection (provided by TM) for its feed. i have no idea where's the nearest tower Not to mention the tower broadcasted through UHF frequency which means it is not susceptible to rain. Astro is using Ku band (frequency above 10Ghz which is very susceptible to signal attenuation during heavy rain) In your case though, probably your signal at your location is weak (antenna got signal booster or not?) or no line of sight? What is your distance to nearest broadcast tower anyway? And how is your antenna look like? my antenna is old tv antenna that came with booster.. u know, the one that have remote that can pusing2 da antenna? exactly this design.. kinda old.. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « reason i ask because several days ago, it's okay, sometime stuck but not bad.. but after starting raining season this week, the signal plummeted until unwatchable.. always popup 'no signal' This post has been edited by neokyo: Jul 18 2016, 08:06 PM |

QUOTE(JohnLai @ Jul 18 2016, 08:56 PM) Distance from Jitra to nearest Gunung Jerai at least 60km, you need a longer yagi-uda antenna with signal booster........around 1.5metre in length.... 60km use 1.5m yagi can boost signal clear? quite a distance there btw thanks for the answer. it seem to me this DTT technology kinda new, like analog years before. still remember my brother on the roof yelling 'OK dah ka?' while manually rotating da antenna.. |

guys, sorry for sudden question, but is terrestrial signal fully off? i mean i used to receive dtv with normal tulang ikan antenna + build-in decoder inside tv, but lost the signal several months ago. Not sure antenna booster kaput or what, the booster's transformer used to kaput before, i replace it and can use it back.. After that receive mytv package with satellite dish. now fully using dish, but thinking about reuse tulang ikan at other place. also because i lost the dish signal last week because heavy cloud (no rain), so maybe tulang ikan as backup.
not to mention the free decoder always error, even though the installer said it's because overheating and i already dedicated a usb fan to it. This post has been edited by neokyo: Aug 23 2019, 02:46 PM |
